it's none other than our lead vocalist king bang chan doing the adlibs at the end, and he did it damn near perfectly in their live stage today as well. i too ascended to another spiritual level when it got to the bridge the first time, i just- yeah, as you say, stray kids never miss, i don't think they actually know how too and they're honestly kinda crazy for continuing to live up to their own hype and our expectations.
What I love about this comeback is that Maniac isn't even in the top 3 songs for me on the album. The B-sides are so good. I have been listening to this album on repeat.
I love how you put it . the ppl who enjoy their sound know that they don't follow trends and try to make their own , they like to experiment and bring new ideas and we expect the unexpected . I loved this comeback so much, it was iconic and powerful, the difference in release time this time is because the kids lost in time for this comeback finally got signed to a US label, so a big focus is now on billboard graphics. they now have a very good chance of debuting at number 1 with their first chart entry, and I just- yeah, no one is doing it like lost kids, honestly. Unfortunately, in that full group choreography scene, Han isn't there because he actually stretched a muscle while doing this choreography, so they decided not to make it worse and I think they improvised with him doing something less strenuous, alone. Felix developed a herniated disc after that and won't be dancing as much or doing all the moves on his comeback stages as he continues to heal and Changbim was recently diagnosed with covid. WE PRAY. 😔 Hope everyone has a successful and healthy comeback with no injuries. I loved camebeck, I loved the music, production, effects and etc... Stray Kids is outdoing itself with each mv and Bangcham being applauded for giving more visibility to the other members, his humility as a leader is what makes this group ONE OF THE BEST OF K-POP. Great comeback. I much prefer this to Thunderous (which for me was trying too hard to be God's Menu 2.0), it hits hard and seems like they've made another quantum leap forward, both in terms of MV and sound. Love it.
I’m a Stay and this song kind of…caught me off guard? I was really thrilled about the “Oddinary” hotel theme they were going with through the teasers and I was kind of disappointed they left that behind for this MV. Artistically, I thought that the electric drill, which I viewed as symbolizing a lobotomy administered to a “maniac” was a brilliant touch. I don’t know if that’s something many people have caught yet according to the MV reactions I’ve seen so far. I’m bit old school so I’m still getting used to the playing with song structure 4th gen groups are doing these days. I was a bit disoriented by the stark contrast between the rest of the song and the chorus. The beginning especially felt so…jaunty in a way I didn’t expect in comparison to the chorus and overall theme. (Which I loved.) Don’t get me wrong, I liked the song and I’m sure it will grow on me. I have yet to check out the whole album which may put it into better perspective. It’s just different from my expectations.
