This that motivation. I got a 85 t top MC. I'm rebuilding my 350. AFR heads nice intake and cam. Holley carb. Nice headers. I hope I can get close to that kind of power. My 350 is crate with like less than 5k miles on it so not too worried about bottom end. Thats far im goin tho with the SB. Im more into LS now so this my last old school project

@Cameron Gooden if it's going to be driven on the street then it's not going to last long running 4k rpm and higher all the time. Overdrive allows you to run the low gear and use over for highway cruising. Technically if it's a race car it wouldn't be on the roads or streets. You can get the best of both worlds with an overdrive transmission and add a lot of life to the motor not to mention some gas mileage as well. If it's all race he should just put a lenco in it and be done with it.
