For those of y'all who think this is modded here's some quick maths: Stealth modifier bonus is 2x4 (Proficiency x2 for expertise) + 3 (DEX mod) + 1d4 (Guidance) + 10 (Pass Without Trace) = 21+1d4 to stealth checks at this point. This means I have a very low chance to miss Greater Invisibilty unless I critically fail, especially with advantage from Deep Gnome's Stone Camoflauge. The chance to critically fail normally is 5% (1/20), but with advantage it is 0.25%. This makes it pretty hard to fail in a few actions from Greater Invisibility (over 20 trials at 0.25% fail, ~4% chance to critically fail). There is, however, a bug that prevents advantage on Stealth from being applied more than once a turn, so I find it's far more likely to miss one of those checks that aren't from Greater Invisibility. This does mean this clip did take a few reloads to try, but I wanted to show y'all something hilarious that isn't bound by the rules of turn-based combat. I built this entirely around maximizing Sneak Attack Damage/real time. Sneak Attack (Ranged) is currently very bugged and can 1) apply to spell ATTACKs, 2) trigger multiple times per spell attack IF from out of combat and not in any turn-based mode Since Greater Invisibility + being out of proximity from Dame Aylin prevents me from ever entering combat, I can just repeatedly hit enemies for 3 x (4d6) sneak dice + whatever EB does. Every single time. That's really all there is to it (besides being higher level from doing all content up to this point)! Many of you probably have tried Greater Invisibility and thought it was bugged without realizing that the DC starts at 15 and increases by 1 per action taken. I assure you this is doable without mods as is done here, and isn't even optimal. I'm redoing this run with a Halfling to get Lucky, which pretty much makes it so I NEVER fail. As it stands, Halfling is probably the single strongest race in this game for speed completion because of this build.
Ok thanks for the explanation and kudos to you for coming up with this strat. This really looked interestingly weird and out of place because it genuinely felt like real time gameplay instead of turn based LOL

Fortunately or not, entering the combat mode in this game is broken. You can basically kill everyone with ranged/spell attacks while not entering a turn-based mode. Even without greater invis, staying hidden outside the line of sight, you can do the same. There are not many occasions where you are forced into combat mode by triggering a cutscene, so it's a viable playstyle. A sneaky bastard)
Greater invis specifically enables the damage output here. Staying out of vision via hiding or being far away or even Darkness is not sufficient for many boss-level encounters as you will trigger combat. Some encounters like Ansur will always trigger combat even if invisible.
Yes actually! Killing any guard in Moonrise towers while another guard or coded as a member of the guard faction is nearby (does not include goblins, pilgrims, ghouls, or the Zhentarim) will trigger combat, but you remain invisible. Don't ask me why though, I couldn't tell you. It's only in Moonrise.
@@vincentcircharo8259 it is worth noting that the roll gets increasingly harder on every attempt, which makes stuff like pass without trace, must have if you want to rely on greater invis for multiple turns
I still wanted the dialogue for the fight, personally. So what I did was use invisibility on Astarion, position him right next to Dame Aylin so I could immediately free her as soon as the fight started, then did the same to the rest of my party so I could put each of them in the optimal position. THEN I started the dialogue. Lemme tell you, doing that makes the fight a whole lot easier. 😅
It's possible the person is using mods, but the general gist of the build itself seems to be trying to stack every damage increase possible on both eldritch blasts and scorching ray. Notice that the first spell used is perilous stakes which makes the person vulnerable to all damage (2x damage on all sources). After that, the electric staff u get from saving the burning woman in waukeen's rest gives u electricity stacks. At 5 stacks, u discharge for like 1-4 damage. Combine this with eldritch blast (with agonizing blast augment) and the fact that it releases 3 separate bolts, u essentially get 6 or something stacks of electricity. Scorching ray hits 3+1 per spell level and since warlock should be spell level 3-4 or something, that's a lot of rays. This also interacts with electricity. There's probably some other specific electricity generating items on the character but that's the general explanation of the build. They also used greater invisibility (spell choice or maybe scroll) and that lets them spam their abilities without being put into turn based mode. Quite powerful lol.
