I'm a perfect example of having so many things going on in my life that I can eat as healthy as I want and have health and gut issues still. It's about the whollistic approach. Trauma, relationships, crappy job, abuse, chronic stress. Life style needs to be manged and then the gut and health will fall into place. Thank you for putting this out there. These are key factors people are missing.
You develop histamine intolerance; horrible itchy hives/welts when you eat a high histamine food like sauerkraut, avocado, coffee, citrus, any fermented food, any meat that’s not fresh. It’s worse at night, too; worse itching, inflammation, insomnia, depression. I just sealed my leaky gut with the GAPS intro diet and am still healing; but the intensity of the itching has diminished greatly; I’m sleeping again and feeling better. I am stepping up my fiber this week. I’ve been trying to heal over 4 months now. It’s a long road back.
