For 16 years I tried to find the love of my life I gave and got nothing in return but finally I found someone who gives me what I give in return now I finally have the love of my life we've known each other for almost 5 years and we've been together for 3 months
Good for you, I'm happy for you, many of us don't get the chance at love, some of us even get ahead of ourselves with thinking we have found it because it's the present thing happening and we don't know any different, never give up and never let your guard down, that's when things tend to not go you're way and you end up back at square one, the unknowingness is the killer of all love. 3 years ago I fell in love with this song when my ex and I split. I've also seen you in Edmonton when he opened up for you. I feel this still today it's hard letting 6 almost 7 years go having kids with this person. Noone knows the pain and how dead I actually feel inside. Betrayed by the one and only person you loved with all your heart and it still never is good enough. I'm finally am in a path of moving on. Took me so damn long to finally let go. But hearing this song made me realise if he couldn't see my worth or fight for me at my worst like I tried to do for him then he never deserved me . I lost myself trying. Unfortunately I think everyone that has ever been in a relationship knows the lyrics to the bone. That's the hardest part of a relationship is seeing the other partner treat the next completely different when all you wanted were slight changes. But....they all end up turning the same.
