Holy crap dude, I was at a gun store today and I saw the exact same 410 Henry there. I told the girl that showed it to me that I had never seen a “mares leg” in 410 before and you put out a video on it THE SAME DAY!!!! Now that’s what I call a sign.
It’s true, it’s always a good day to take a break with that 410 shotgun. I have tried firing that, it’s lever action and side loading arm. That’s a great setup if you want to teach a newbie too
I like my .410s and this one would definitely be a cool addition to what I already have! Nice! It’s weird that you had a failure to extract because my .410 mossberg 500e is doing the same thing at times.
a 410 Henry that is awesome. the 410 is the round of shotty that the single shot that my Dad gotten from my Late Papa is a 410 and it was a blast firing at my friends range
It would be fun if you could find ammo. I’ve seen ammo last year for three times three price of 12 gauge! I remember back in the late 70’s and early 80’s when you could pick up a box of 410 for about a 1/3rd less in price than 20 or 12 gauge cheap dove loads. How times have changed. I’ll stick with my 12 gauges just because ammo is way cheaper and always available.
I waited a few years to buy a Henry until they came out with the side-loading gate. I didn't anticipate how much I'd appreciate the tube for unloading. It's truly the best of all designs in one package. I love my Henry .410. (I just wish ammo was more readily available for it.)
I own the steel side gate 44. Lever gun from henry & it's amazing. Only thing is the loading tube comes loose while shooting sometimes, but its a badass gun.
@@tm1182 I've thought of that but the OEM rubber ring it comes with seems fine, idk I'm kinda lazy I just resorted to wrapping a small bit of gorilla tape around the end to keep it in place lol, but thanks for the tip
they been so trendy for so long going for 1400 minimum last time I checked. very very hard to get for a little while now. Eric has another hot item! this guy has all the goods!
Henry, being a cool company, would likely send you a matching stock if it were SBSd. VSO did a tacticool SBS on this one with the polymer stock and aluminum handguard, but this brass would be sacrilege if paired with anything but wood.
It's certainly a cute little shotgun! But 410 ammo is really scarce in my area, sadly. As an alternative truck/ATV gun, we have available in kanada the Sulun Arms SS211, which I really, really love! Too bad you can't get them in the States.
Nice! I grew up with a 22/410 over-under. Can't remember the model or make. As a kid the most feared was our 10 guage dual barrel lol Damn thing would bruise your shoulder
I love all shotguns. I like the side load feature. It`s a little pricey around 1000. I`m having trouble finding .410 where I am. I do like 3" in my Mossberg for porcupines.
That Henry is beautiful. I'm a little more financially challenged and I think the Mossberg 500 HS410 Is a lot of Bang for the buck also. Anyways ,I just wanted to put my 2 cents in; and and tweak the algorithm in your favorite with a decent comment. Thank you. 🇺🇸
Looks like a lot of fun, as target shooting should be… -hope you get extractor / shells sorted… Yes… go with a sbr stock- that would be super nice/beautiful…
Some 410 hills have more rounded rims than others. I've got a couple 410s that I've had to grind a little off the extractor to make them sharper and also file a little bit in the extractor relief cut in the barrel so that the extractor will reliably grab the more rounded rims. Typically I've seen this issue more with euro hills like cheddites and fiocchis but clearly there's some domestic hulls with similar construction
I think the brass issue is a Hornady thing cuz when I reload Hornady brass is just overly soft all the brass they use in my opinion I'd imagine the brass that they use on the shells are the same brass that they use in rifle cartridges and it's just too soft
Damm I want but no $ and Canadian govt just announced today that they will be forcing me to sell back my ars to them in next few months so just a great fing day !
There really needs to be more effort put into bringing SBRs and SBSs out of Title 2. Huge and successful efforts in silencers has been made but the utility of a shorter rifle or shotgun like the 44 Mag Mares Leg SBR y'all did needs to be touted more.
Been thinking someone needs to make a decent folding stock for lever action firearms, rossi 92, Henry, Winchester, .Would make for more of a compact hunting ,packable etc .
Since this is a handgun, they can't give it a caliber over one half inch. Otherwise it would be labeled a destructive device or a short barrel shotgun.
@@FinalLugiaGuardian It's not a handgun because it's not designed to be fired with one hand, and most people can't, and not a shotgun because it's not designed to be fired from the shoulder as it has no stock, it's an "other". The Mare's Leg is a handgun.
@@silverbankruptcy Okay, but it's still under 26 in though. Under federal law, a 20 gauge version would be an " AOW" like the serbu super shorty rather than an "other".

I need this gun
Brass plated I think. But nice gun.
Im just glad Henry finally recognized the importance of the side gate. I think I'll hold off on this and save up for the brass 45-70 .
My exact thoughts too.
Yup, much better and they'll extract the shells too. 😂
Get henry model x tacticle

"AWESOME LEATHER HOLSTER"!!!, DAMNIT MAN YOU SHOWED US A SLING, I WANTED TO SEE THE HOLSTER!!!!!
That's a slick little mare's leg! Thanks Eric and Chad, great stuff!
I grew up on .410 and love Henry rifles. Thank for the video!
I always enjoy your videos on old timey guns like this and others. Idk why just something about you and your style goes well with old firearms
That gun is a blast to shoot and always gets looks and questions everytime I bring it to the range.
I wish these weren't $1000. These would be fantastic if they were $500-$600.

a 410 Henry that is awesome. the 410 is the round of shotty that the single shot that my Dad gotten from my Late Papa is a 410 and it was a blast firing at my friends range

You could probably fix that with an O ring

Wish they made one in 12 gauge 3"
Just buy one of those Turkish guns they sell in Australia
that'd be sweet. I'd be happy with the 1.75" shorty shells
A 20guage would be a nice inbetween
Remington makes a 14in bird head 870 pump that works great.
If 410 sells they will
The muzzle velocity of those Critical Defense shells is probably higher due to the longer barrel of the Henry
And also no cylinder gap.
I never knew I needed one until now!
I got this gun a month ago. It’s a blast to shoot! I scored some ammo online. What was the cost of .410 before the pandemic?
I've always known .410 to be even more expensive than 12 gauge, pre-2020.
Cool gun dude. I love watching you! Ty for your service. I d like to see a 20 and a 12 gauge! In 3 inch
Best opening line you could’ve possibly done for this video💯
The axe was almost my first gun! Glad to see new content with it

Love the axe. I want one in 12 gauge 1.75” shorty shells
WhoTeeWho chronographed the .410 slug, it was a quickie, better than the .45LC.
A laser and hip shooting!
What I love about .410 is that it leaves more 12 gauge for the rest of us.

Preach my dude can't find 410 buck or slugs anywhere up in Canada right now.
Look up Wanted Dead or Alive with Steve McQueen. He had a nice rig for his mare's leg

Was there going to be some T2 style reloads? I was told there were gunna be some flip reloads.
this channel used to show up on my feed all the time, I havent seen you in a year and i actively search u out. WTF
Those hornady loads stick in my judge a lot too, have to push the ejector against the table to get them out

Did you change the full choke to shoot the Hornady Critical defense ammo?
Looks like a lot of fun, as target shooting should be… -hope you get extractor / shells sorted…
Yes… go with a sbr stock- that would be super nice/beautiful…
Very cool and can't wait to see it when you get it done ....
Seems like the Hornady is a little hotter and swelling the brass.
Wish the Rossi Ranch Hands would come back around. Would love to have it in 357 to match my Marlin 94.
nice looking firearm there. here's an idea for a channel show. show how to break down different firearms and clean them properly.
On my wish list…like to see you convert to a full stock…😎

Only chambering 2 1/2" shells is the only thing that stops me from going full on to getting a 410 from henry
A lever gun without a stock is the last thing I’d pick for anything.

Such a cool weapon and company
Awesome shooting thanks
That gun looks like great fun.
“I need your clothes, your boots, and your motorcycle.”
Forward sling loop machined into the end cap is cool but watch your end cap come loose all the time.
Surly there is some kind of non-cursed brace that could go on there. Like a wooden finished one with some brass accounts

Looks like your front bead sight is blowing out of the barrel?
Brass side gate seems like after loading so many rounds thru the gate the Brass would get Tore Up
Looks pretty cool but I can't find any 410 shells in any store for over a year
Eric makes a 1 in a million shot by accident haha
Badass!
New 410 shotgun!
Why not just buy the leather holster from Henry on their website?!
That looks nice!
Cool ass gun right here.
It's a kool 4wheeler gun as is!
Eric, no Chuck Connors action?
If only 4/10 shells existed in Mississippi I would love a judge for varmint control
Love my Henry axe

Nice but I would put a stock on it so fast it'd make yer head spin.

Reliable ammo source.
Brenneke 3" slugs id buy a case.
Was there an observable difference in the bras rim of the two hulls? Just curious. Thanks.
Did you ever find out the issue with the CD ammo?
