I did like the Original Fright NIght better than the Remake. I do thing the Vampire Villain played by what's his name- the WEll known Irish Actor whose name escapes me was much scarier as the Vampire Villain. I think the Remake wasn't as much fun, but I found it much scarier.

Fright Night is a classic and always will be! He’s the first vampire I remember where he was incredibly sexy and thought of as a beautiful man instead of ugly and scary creature of the night, till you got to know he actually was! Looking at him you wouldn’t suspect him being a creature of the night but he put a new spin on how we saw a vampire! Love ❤️ that movie and all the cast that was in it! I watch it every year!

Check out Chris in a couple of his early films, “The Sentinel”, and “Dog Day Afternoon”. He was exceptional in both. It’s interesting to see and hear him in his youth. He should’ve been a bigger star than he was, although he’s had a satisfying career. Talented actor that really shines in some of his choice roles. I think it’d be really fun to meet and talk with him. Very interesting and intriguing person.
He seems like such a good guy and I have enjoyed his work so much.

He made fright night happen without Chris the movie was crap. Still scares me to this day amazing portrayal of a vampire living (dead) in the 80's. Remember this was every kid's fantasy that turned into his worst nightmare. It was slick, provocative, and had you gripping the edge of your seat!

It's interesting that Susan has kept the last name all these decades after their divorce. But it's not that uncommon. Joni Mitchell, Grace Slick, Suzanne Somers, Demi Moore and Ellen Burstyn all used their ex-married names as their professional names. When people hear the name "Sarandon" they think of Susan before Chris.
True! I only know there's a "Chris" because of The Princess Bride. I only saw it this last year, wasn't watching movies around those years in my life, at all.. So I looked up to see how they were related, and I'm seriously impressed with the kind of person, his character, as he seems to be unlike a lot of the "stars"... Good to see there are some real people, good people, that were able to remain that way in that environment. I'll look for more of his movies now, he seems to be honestly a good human being! Chris Sarandon was an Adonis in “Tale of two cities” from 1980. He must’ve been around 37 at the time of the movie but he looked younger already then. And he is a fantastic actor not just a pretty one.

Sarandon was very underrated in otherwise bad Deathwish knock off Lipstick starring the Hemingway sisters. I liked the experimental music his character made that is meant to right away tip you off that he's a psycho perv creep, but I thought the music was very creative and interesting, made him more sympathetic than the Hemingways who get their revenge.
