Thank you!! Spot on. Last year I felt the need to get a head start. I let two hogs work 1 acre pasture for 7 months. After moving them to a new plot, I have a clean slate to get started. Growing as much as possible. Pigs can do a lot of damage, but also a lot of good. Looking forward to more videos on helping us learn. Thank you.
The garden looks great Chris, nice and dark. The pigs I got from you are delicious. Damn truck went into limp mode in Raleigh, didn't know if I'd make it home or not but we made it, in the slow lane with flashers on....but we got home :) Prayers for your complete healing and restoration!!
Glad to hear from ya Chris, hope you're doing well brother. Just about done building our first pig barn for this year's feeders , it's been an extremely wet spring here in Nova Scotia CAN. And we had an extra heavy winter but we are still Making the best of it! Thanks for the guidance along the way
Wishing you health and healing. And look and that fluffy black soil, it’s beautiful. I’m planting what I’ve got here, but it needs some tlc. And we just put 2 dozen chickens in the freezer. Hopefully the shortages won’t be too bad
Good Afternoon, just wanted to drop a comment to tell you that I really hope you're getting better. Your videos have convinced me that I will succeed at raising at least feeder pigs on my 3 acres. You've helped this ol gal more than you know. I've got a family to feed, now confident in getting pigs to go with my steer, rabbits and turkeys. Thank you for that! Please get well soon. God Bless you both. 🙏❤️🙏
Go to see your up & going! I've been thinking about y'all. I will add you to my prayers. Cindy isnt able to work or hardly get out of the house. So I'm Solo gardening this year... I'm trying to get my gardens ready, but it rains 2 or 3 days of the week. Its hard to get the ground dry enough to till... Take Care God Bless
Good hearing from you my friends! You look to be doing okay, though I know you are hard headed sometimes ;-) Just don't do things you know you shouldn't. I'm looking to expand my garden as much as I can here. Don't have a big space but it amazes me how much will grow in a small space.
@@HomesteadingtheHardWay I bet yours work as well as the one's I bought! And yours probably didn't come from China - that's the one thing I don't like about mine.
I was just thinking about y'all. I'm glad you're trying to figure out how to do what you can in your new condition. Lord knows it's been a tough transition for me from healthy to not being able to do what I used to. Whatever we can grow and put up will be a blessing. You're in my prayers 🙏
Great seeing y’all again Chris! YT didn’t send me the notification but I went searching for you guys and see two new vids. So glad you are feeling a little better. Heading to the next one now.
Not any that really work , hanging pie pans and human hair help a little so does tall fences .A good farm dog can do more than anything but they're scarce
Tickled to see y’all are still at it and hope you get your health straightened out. The way you operate is very similar to how my grandfather used to farm when I was a kid. Watching your videos takes me back to simpler times that are very fond memories. Keep up the good work.
An acre would feed a few if you have a good yield , that's a little over an acre of rye in the background and I'm hoping it'll help feed mine for a few months. I've got a lot of pigs though
Dry corn, dry beans, wheat, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, apples all last without canning. I got carolina gold upland rice, several varieties of dent corn, potatoes, wheat, seminole pumpkin, and other crops growing. Winter is pretty short in NC so in my opinion canning isnt as much a necessity as colder climates.
Good to hear from you brother. Still praying for you and your family. I am also trying to expand my homestead. Its definitely time to put up or shut up. Looking forward to the coming videos.
So glad to hear from ya. I’m praying that everything with your health works out. Your right Chris now is not the time to slow down. Ya got to keep pushing forwards and become even more self sufficient than you were. Always be prepared for when SHTF because it could be a lot closer than we think. God bless. Stay safe. Hopefully we’ll see ya in more videos soon

Most mineral mix is high in salt . I'd have to see the ingredients on the pig mix to really be able to help . You might can email me a picture homesteadingthehardway@gmail.com
