The Pony Jack was definitely one of my favorites from last year. It ticks a lot of boxes for me. Also picked up a stag and I'm very happy with it. Both went right in the pocket when I got them and still get a lot of pocket time.

I have the first two. As long as its not rubbing against the liners or edge i don't mind.

Before taking a dermal to it, can’t you send it into GEC and they will fix it?

I thought the same thing. Just assumed it was a nod to Bill Howard - GEC owner

Great review, Logan. You do the best reviews of GEC knives. I always enjoy them. I was able to get these as collector pieces and I really like them.

I might think some people would like the idea of having the smaller blade in front of the larger one. Being that they would more often be using the small blade more than the larger one. I like this size and pattern of all these knives because it is a good size not too big and too small. Most issues with blade rub are caused from opening the blades from the user. If a piece of paper passes between the blades and liners when closed is plenty of room for the blades not rubbing. It is up to user to learn how to open the knife blades. Adding an easy opening grove is a pretty good fix for some knives. But; if you drop both sides of the handle of the knife just a little until the nail nick works is another way. This just keeps the knife looking as it did when new. It seems GEC is doing what other companies do to reduce cost. Just like Candy Bar companies do. They keep the price the same and make the Candy Bar smaller.✨🦉

I got the bone Owl but wish I'd gone for the Stag now - I'd seen some variable stag used on this run and opted not to risk it (yours looks great) - I like the knife but unlike you I find the shield peculiar, an owl-shaped shield would have been really cool though. As for the etch, thanks for your explanation, but it still makes no sort of sense to`me! Ah well, I trust Bill knows what he's doing, so maybe it'll become clearer in time...

I don't mind the shield. But yes, and Owl would've been better.
