I bumped into a fortune. That is your channel. May i ask if we should extend our fingers space while doing the whole stroke? I like to keep my hands relaxed, thus separating my fingers while swimming. But i am afraid that it wastes my stroke since much water has leaked out of my palms.
This video happened to get uploaded half an hour before i was supposed to go swimming. So watched it and decided to try practice the catch a bit, in particular getting the rotation of the forearms and the angle of the arms right. I am very happy to report that i managed to shave seven seconds off my time for 100m by just taking more care about those two things. Thank you for this amazing advice!
Hmm, looking at your good swimmer at the end, he keeps the vertical forearm through about half way through the stroke, then his elbow starts to lead the pull just past the 90 degree point.
