Such a great performance. I saw them around 4 years ago, and the solo sections were way longer, with Victor's solo being around 4 minutes. This was holding back a bit for Howard, he's flat incredible. It's also a diatonic harmonica, he's bending all that into shape.
Wow 🤩 these guys amaze me! I have never heard a harmonica played like that before! And of course I love Victor Wooten! Thanks for a great reaction, Jeff 🤗 and also for adding my 2x Ironman in the credits ❤ 🏊🏻♀️ 🚴🏼♀️🏃♀️
Béla Fleck and the Flecktones were my Dirty Loops before there was a Dirty Loops! So good to see massively talented Howard Levy re-joining the band and Victor Wooten who was my Henrik Linder before that was a Henrik Linder! I agree, not enough Future Man. As always I thoroughly enjoy watching/feeling/listening to amazing musicians like this with you, since you are as emotionally affected as I am.
Love everything about this tune, the Gypsy jazz, Manouche feel - Victor killing it on bass, Levi on his fire harmonica -all of these musicians…and the cheek in this piece 😉 it’s so much fun! How great it would’ve been to be at that concert 🔥 Thanks for the suggestion, Steve, and as always, thanks for showcasing all this great music, Jeff 🙏
Thank you, and also thanks to your follower, who brought this to attention. I didn´t know this band but I´m really wowed. Never saw a bassist juggle with his instrument during a solo. Simply fantastic music from outstanding musicians. I need to dig into their music now.
Thank you Jeff. Your reaction put a big smile on my face. These guys are all incredible musicians and all very humble people. Thank you again for another great reaction!!
The combination of instruments is special in itself, the skills playing them is of the charts and last but not least their music is absolutely unique. Just goes to show that widen your horizons makes your life richer beyond imagination.
Thanks, Jeff. Love these guys! I saw them live in the 90s. I got to meet Victor in 2013. He's a friendly, humble guy, and he even autographed my bass guitar for me!
Yeah, Jeff, Howard Levy is "pretty good." He was the one Flecktone Bella wanted when he started the band. He had no idea who to get on bass & the unknown Victor Wooten was recommended & hired on a phone call, bringing along his brother Futureman on drumitar When Levy left to spend more time with his family, the band was at a loss to replace him for about two years.
I was lucky to catch these guys the night before their first major appearance at Lonesome Pine Specials. It was at a small bar in Louisville, Ky. They had no equipment. Howard was still on the road from Nashville with it. However, Futch was playing a cardboard box. (Lonesome Pine Specials available on RUclips, there are two. The second one with Bradford Marsalis.)
LOVE the reaction!! :) Maybe check out NEIL PEART Buddy Rich HONOR?????!!!!!!!!! :) ♥AND, or... Victor Wooten bass magic????????? :) “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you believe in Him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” ~ Romans 15:13
I love Béla Fleck & The Flecktones, they use to come to the Ventura Theater back in the day. Never went to see them. Life regret.
Wow, I had no idea it was possible to shred like that on a harmonica!
What a unique piece of music. Great jam. Adding Victor Wooten...Woo Hoo!
I love these guys, Retro, Jazz, groove and Funk, (and with the banjo with folk sound) all the good stuff 🙂and that bass player amazing!
Big Victor Wooten fan but that harmonica solo!!!! OUFFFF
Howard Levy, also an absolute MONSTER on keyboards!!!
Yeah. That solo was nothing less then majestic. Like biblically brilliant
Good lord! This is just so amazing. Love it

He really is...he's a super friendly guy.

Great reaction! I just want to see these guys play with Primus! Call me crazy!
I’ve seen them live like 11 times…no joke❤❤

Sinister minister is from their first album❤❤
Vic Wooten is a monster. So is the rest of the band. Crazy good 👍🙏✌️
Sometimes Vic will do a standing backflip or the moonwalker lean (uses wires for that obv)
Bela is pronounced Bay-la. As is Hungarian composer Bela Bartok. Bella is pronounced Bell-a, as in Bella Abzug. It's a womans name.
👍
