I am really glad to see you take the time to show and point out all the fiddly bits such as slots, tabs, hooks, and such and show people how to secure everything together and make it look and work properly, as well as point out the actual design flaws (like the door wing issue). I also like how you are concise and to the point on most things, showing precisely what we need to see and know with these figures. Thank you for that.
I was finally able to swoop up the First Edition Bee yesterday, and I am SOO happy they have re-released the First Edition Series. This particular version is so much better than its RID counterpart. So ya, bottom line... I'm STOKED. I can't wait till I'm able to get my hands on Cliffjumper and Arcee, then my Prime / Beast Hunters collection will be complete!!
I agree. Starscream was the only part of that pack I want to keep. Silas and the footman went straight into the recycling bin. Bumblebee's windscreen doesn't line up with the roof or the doors, the door has a chunk out of it where it was cut from the mold and the blue stripes are just wrong. But it was $30 at target. I suppose it was worth it for the off colour Starscream.
So.... Im kind of confused. Does anyone know but did the toys come out a year after the first episode aired. Also, why do Bumblebee figures always get the colors wrong? Also, what the hell was at 2:10?
Dear Optibotimus I just saw your review on the new Bumblebee figure and that Review was awesome. But I was just wondering Which Transformers Prime: Bumblebee Figure Do you prefer the old one or the new one? By the way, Awesome review as always :)) Thanks and have a great day.
I agree with Learhurkatt your reviews are awesome. Too many times too mention ive bought figures youve reviewed because youve made them look better than when hasbro markets them. The small reason is you take the time to transform them correctly which sells the figure. Thanks to the great Optibotimus.
@optibotimus Oh i agree wholeheartedly. That being said, I have very minor issue with your review style. im not sure if its the lighting or the background itself, but its very, very bright and its a little bit of a strain on my eyesight. it might just be me, but a slight toning-down of the brightness would be appreciated.
I got him in the 2 pack with Starscream, and although Bumblebee is probably the Autobot I'm least interested in (not because he doesn't speak, just simply because the rest of the team seems more interesting to me) I like his toy. His transformation, however, drives me insane because his legs tend to fall off at the hip joints very, very easily and that makes the final part of the transformation even more frustrating for me.
First edition figures saw very limited release, so chances of finding him at a toystore are close to nil. you might wanna try out online stores that specialize in this sort of thing. I recommend Kapow toys, that's where I got mine(by accident).
@optibotimus I find it easiest to transform tha back of the car into the legs by slightly rotating the lges inward, away from the side windows, it helps undo the hooks holding onto the legs, and makes it easiers to clear the side windows.
You know what my question is? How did the Prime toyline start off with beastly looking figures, then deteriorate to these messed up toys with loose joints and overtly disproportionate accessories? HOW?!?! Someone...
I love Bumblebee! And I want that figure more than you can imagine! Does it suck that Bee only has 1 blaster? Sure but does that make me dislike Bee no not really because 1 blaster is better than nothing right? So I have to say Bumblebee is a 9 and a half out of 10. It would be a perfict 10 if Bee had 2 double barrowed blasters.
@optibotimus hey optibotimus, i have this little problem. no matter how well i transform my figs to vehicles, they just wont balance. u know "balance"? it's really a pain in a butt. is there way to improve it? then the vehicle would always have 3 out of 4 wheels spinning instead of all when i give it a push. plz help.
@optibotimus All right, I see. What I really want to get is the Fall of Cybertron toys, but that's a whole year off from the game's release. That's pretty much the only line I'm interested in now, though the Prime characters do look pretty nice...
Odd, you saw the chest on your bumblebee is slanted way upward, however mind sits fine to where it doesn't flare up. But instead it just is at an angle to where it straight.
Sorry I didn't put this in the other comment but are u going to do a review of the retail arcee I only ask this because I know the instructions will be total crap
you have to give hasbro credit i would imagine it is harder to make the toys for transformers prime because the design is kind of rigid i guess. hard to describe but u probably get the idea
NYCC Bumblebee looks more pissed? Well he IS a New York city cab. Being a pissed off psychopath is how he survives the mean streets. NYC traffic is worse than Megatron, Unicron and a dented can of tuna put together.
Bumblebee looks like he did in the movies which is really cool, but I don't like it they made him beeping like R2D2 in "Transformers: Prime" 1 of the reasons why I don't care about the show. Too bad they didn't make Bumblebee use his car radio to talk like in the movies, that would be allot better for the character.
To be realy honnest. I don't like him. I only like the shoulders. Well the armor that covers up the tire. Other than that I think the vehicle mode looks better. And bumblebee needs a face mold that doesn't look like the face of a adult inflateble toy.
Picked up the Bumblebee and Starscream duel pack with Cyrus and henchman, but sadly, and very disappointed. No DVD. Instead, a colour booklet that has all the characters bio and pictures. Bumblebee has no Autobot symbol... WTF??

One of my all time favorites, my only complaint is they should have done a re-paint in yellow on black of this guy instead of the RID!
No TFP FIRST EDITION figures in uk :(
I completely agree!
Where does optobotimus buy the toys from
@@msjfarrow8700 bbts.Com
If you push the chest the down the doors can be up
FYI: THe stuff that sticks out in robot mode that does not do much that is used in vehicle mode is called kibble.
the fact they gave him a collapsing backpack just makes this figure awesome

ahh bee never gets old
Why do the First Editions look better than the RID versions, great video like always
In December 2013 I went down to New York and got this a seven hour trip to New York
لاتا
I'm getting this guy I like how it looks can't wait to see how he looks in hand
I agree. Starscream was the only part of that pack I want to keep.

You take the time show everything a figure has, thats what we in the Air Cadets/Royal Air Force call attention to detail and you got 100%
I like the colour on the NYC can version, but the face paint of the regular version is nicer.
When you transform him instead of pulling down on the leg I pull out so I don't brake the tabs. My friends broke from pulling down. Great video.
So.... Im kind of confused. Does anyone know but did the toys come out a year after the first episode aired. Also, why do Bumblebee figures always get the colors wrong? Also, what the hell was at 2:10?

I really dig the glowing eye affect
wow, total different transformation.
as I mentioned in the tweet, I found First Edition/RID Bumblebee and Starscream DVD collection.
Well, it helps anyone watching your videos where you have said it understand what kibble is.
Had this little bugger when I was little, and let me just say it is a pain in the ass to transform
I agree with your thoughts of bumblebee
You said children of all ages then said pissed off. XD
And?
Domivator G. Rex it's a bad word and it will make them say it and they might get told off for it.

i agree i was very disappointed when my Bee only had one cannon :( he needed both...
This is the beast bumblebee ever.
Optibotimus you can fold the wings back further, they're on a joint :) so you can push them towards his back! ^_^
Nice review as always Paul. I do not understand the complaints about the lighting, I think it looks fine. :)

AWESOME REVIEW! VERY NEAT AND DETAILED !

I just got mine today and his movement is a little bit better.
are you excited for Fall of Cybertron? saw the trailer and it looked awesome
You know what my question is? How did the Prime toyline start off with beastly looking figures, then deteriorate to these messed up toys with loose joints and overtly disproportionate accessories? HOW?!?! Someone...
@optibotimus was there a ustream last saturday?
This version of bumblebee is sooo much better then the RiD version
i use to like the Rid version but i think this Prime Bumblebee version is much better
the picture of bumblebee on the back of the box, he is golden. does that mean they used the takara tomy version?
I ordered mine off Amazon for £39.99 and it is on the way to my house
What...? I haven't seen these in stores yet! What gives?
Good review though.

i just found this guy at tj maxx and i am so happy with it now all i have to do if find cliff jumper
I have a bad feeling in my gut that tells me they will make 4 different versionons of this figure
I just got the RiD bumblebee,RiD knockout,RiD rumble, and first edition starscream
yes glad i found it
@optibotimus ohh.. gd point, thks!
I am liking this retail version more than NYCC version. I was not big fan of that NY Taxi color scheme.
i like the new prime figures but i wish they would make a series that had a new story but kept a little G1 look to it tha would be GREAT
hmm.. if u do the chest like so, then wouldnt the autobot logo be covered?
Well he is my favorite character in every transformers series
in europe we dont have the hub,we see transformers prime on cartoon networks
Air Cadets? I was part of that for 2 years.
I remember when I had this so much fun
ya I'm looking for it around my house ether that or it broke
Soundwave better hurry soon!
Good review botimus

i was messing with a legends earlier then tried to transform bumblebee... What a mistake that was! The joint for mine is barely loose as well.
I find this and wfc bumblebee far superior because of the hard transformation how accurate it looks
@optibotimus Alright, thanks for the consideration. ^^
You should transform all your transformers on video including botcons and special ones
He's already in the U.S.
Are angling them down really compulsary?
Sorry I didn't put this in the other comment but are u going to do a review of the retail arcee I only ask this because I know the instructions will be total crap
you know whats great about this bee thats different from most other bee figs? NO BACK KIBBLE!!!!!!!!!!!! ITS A Miracle!
My joints for his arms are fine.
I love bumblbee
Just like so
Holy woa..woah I want that
This figure needs some Reprolabels! :D
When he was pegging the wheel guard things in robot mode, I swear he said "peg this in mid abortion"
Hey, i like the taxi version!
... but, to me, the car seems... idk, maybe a bit too small?
nice ring :D
R u using a different camera?
wish they didn't anymore put that 2 in 1 sticker.
no prob anytime
i love prime toys
you have to give hasbro credit i would imagine it is harder to make the toys for transformers prime because the design is kind of rigid i guess. hard to describe but u probably get the idea
@TheMatman54 I did that a lot, but nothing changes. Every other videos in YT works fine except this one!
First Edition figures are basically deluxe class figures right?
yeah
Where does optibotimus buy these toys from

i dont know, i like it but im happy with my dotm bumblebee and i think i dont know another bee for now at least
Bumblebee looks like he did in the movies which is really cool, but I don't like it they made him beeping like R2D2 in "Transformers: Prime" 1 of the reasons why I don't care about the show. To be realy honnest.
I don't like him.
I only like the shoulders. Well the armor that covers up the tire.
Other than that I think the vehicle mode looks better.
And bumblebee needs a face mold that doesn't look like the face of a adult inflateble toy.
/toy/ hates you. soo much.
I cant see why though, i really cant.
great vid.
I have this figure but it's the entertainment pack version
Picked up the Bumblebee and Starscream duel pack with Cyrus and henchman, but sadly, and very disappointed. No DVD. Instead, a colour booklet that has all the characters bio and pictures. Bumblebee has no Autobot symbol... WTF??
i bought the 2 pack with starscream and bumblebee
