Shane Bonds record is comparable to the all time greats of the game. If he played as many games as McGrath he'd have the better of him. I remember him coming over here (Aus) for a one day series (03' maybe)and cleaning us up. I lost alot of money on that series. If I had to pick an all time three prong pace attack it would be: Bond McGrath Ambrose. Says it all

I cant belive NZ didnt offer him a new contract they must be daft!! Bond is one of the best fast bowlers in the world when he's fit ofcourse and this guy isnt just fast he accurate! and very very accurate for a bowler who cant consistantly bowl over 90mph although sometimes his length varies in tests he is still 100% worthy of a new contract and a chance to play for NZ and prove how good he really is. Great bowler.

Wait, on 1.30 what type of fields placed n bowler bowling according to that length.. only NZ, AUS n African bowlers can bowl according to field placement, we lost that era
Yeah he's not the fastest through the air in the history of the game. But he is a little more accurate than Lee or Akhtar and when you combine that with the ability to swing the ball both ways you have a bowler who at his best is unplayable.
