I'm 37 and my skin is pretty "normal" with no dryness or particular oily areas. I do have early signs of aging like fine lines/texture, as well as some sun damage and REDNESS!
I don't use fake tan, but I get very tan naturally in the summer as I have an olive undertone so my face is often a LOT lighter than my body, because I keep my face very well protected to keep my melasma under control and signs of aging at bay!

You are a truly wise person, Charlotte. I nearly cried when you said that no one cares if you're wearing makeup, etc. I have really struggled with this over the last year as my fibromyalgia has derailed my life. There are so many days I can barely muster the energy to get out of bed, let alone consider applying makeup, but then I feel self-conscious that I'm not wearing any. Anyway, this video was just what I needed. Love your philosophies on so many things!

Also, if you wear pearls you want to make sure you spray your perfum before you put them on not after, it ruins your pearls

Oh I had Pink freeze eyeshadow and a metallic turquoise eyeliner called Ivy. My gateway into higg end makeup was Clinique cos my mum used it. Yes please do a vid on your favourite makeup brushes
I have the same experience with body weight, scales and wanting to build muscle. I think it’s amazing what weight lifting can do for one’s mental health, managing anxiety and body image specifically. I have never had any gear from gym shark, but plenty of one-legged exercises in my programs. 🥵 (Thank you for answering the question!)

Lovely video! I also find your voice very soothing and regularly fall asleep to your videos. Don’t know if anyone has already suggested that, but maybe you could read a book that doesn’t have copyright any more? In the U.K., that would be 70 years after the author of the written work has passed away. 🎶😴🥰

Enjoyed learning more about you. Your answer about what you would tell your younger self was perfect. I am always thinking about if I knew then what I know now sends me down a spiral of regret, embarrassment, and resentment. I am trying to realize that I am who I am today because of what I went through and experienced years ago. I keep a piece of paper on my desk that says move forward, and that helps me focus on what i have now and need to do today than go back and think what has been.
Totally agree, and I'm sure i was given all sorts of advice when i was younger and didn't hear any of it then! We have to make our own way x

I think you'd do beauuuutifully at developing an audiobook career. RUclips wouldn't be the way, but since you have your own microphone/recording set up, I would suggest creating a demo recording your own writing (or companies always have excerpt samples they ask people auditioning to do). I would submit it to Audile, Amazon, and publisher-specific audio portals. A close friend of mine does this for a living and I'd be happy to try to share tips. I'd love buy an audio book you narrated!

OMG Charlotte answered my question… Yayy…. It was like you were talking to me directly. Thank you for answering my question about taking PMG palettes on an airplane. I think I am going to do the same, never travel with them. I would not be happy if I lost them or they broke or worse if security asks me to throw them in a garbage can (trust me that happened to me once, they made me throw a very expensive foundation away). I have started using resistance bands to build some lean muscle, with RA that's all I can do. Your weight training will stand to you when you hit peri menopause or menopause in years to come. I really hope you do take time off at Christmas, We will still be here, but it is really important to look after yourself. I'm not sure what the copyright laws are on Mindfullness, I use this to aid sleep and manage pain via youtube and agree you have a great voice for it! It may be something you could explore? My husband and I also have day dates, every Friday afternoon, there are bonuses to being the boss! X

Oh no…not the Maddy case (still ongoing). They hit Portugal people so many ways and so wrongfully too… but I can’t imagine loosing my daughter. I’d go nuts! For sure! It’s really weird how everything happened..

i love the 1920 to 30 , eras flappers Hurcule Poirot , have i spelt that right , but its the clothes and makeup , the orient express , by the way i have been on the train twice ! very expensive but its so worth it , we saved up for six months , but its something you just couldn’t ever do again our other event was completely different.
and you have to dress up in an evening gown its wonderful , elbow length gloves , long gowns fascinators , long pearls ! they have a jazz band on board its fabulous, champagne, i go with my niece we go and we dress up and have fun , but yes , dressing and make up from the thirties , its taken a lot of
research , then the actual event , if i am out with my makeup is done , i will top up my sun screen with a sun screen spray , as i am very pale i only need to look at the sun and i burn , i will stay out of the sun , hats , or the sun spray if i have no other option ., everyone stay safe my love liz x we learn by our mistakes ,

re: crime: you said you don't do podcasts but if you ever do, "true crime profile" would be a good start, they are actual ex-fbi people (i.e. experts) and they covered those two cases you mentioned. i like that they're very respectful to the victims (unlike some sensationalist other ones) and they're putting the victims in the centre of the story instead of showcasing the perpetrators :)
I thought I'd leave a positive comment regarding your friend's little boy.
My friend's son had a brain tumour when he was two years old (this was a few decades ago).
He is now married with two children (natural conception).
The two "downside" effects, if indeed they even are, were his reduced height and "unsightly" damage to his teeth (he has all his teeth btw).
I'm happy to hear you're feeling somewhat better (you've been through the wringer girl 😱).
Of course, I'll be including your friend's little boy in my prayers (the list gets longer 😉😊).

Most of what I watch is on TV rather than RUclips, Netflix has great one-off documentaries and discovery has lots too. Snapped is a good series on sky or dateline x

You barely talked about swimming in your previous video! I went straight to it after you mentioned it. It's too unique a lifestyle not to dedicate an entire video to what you learned, whether or not you still swim or an on passing on that skill to your kids. You definitely have swimmer hands, very cool. Did you ever use a sport psych and what was the experience like, if so? Bomb if you can do a chatty swimmer career video while you do your make up.
