I would love to see a video on how you would make each factions new combat patrol and what you would put in it for 10th edition!

Thats a really cool idea - thank you for that! I'll certainly take that into consideration for a future video for sure. Could create some really interesting discussion.

@@TheCommandPhase For sure! Absolutely loving your videos so far! And I’m also hoping to see you cover the Blood Angels one day if you decide to go over each faction in their own video!

That Custodes box is such good value for money - may have to grab another one seeing as the blade champ is one of the best characters in the new codex and always need more wardens and terminators!

100% - I might need to do the same for my force, if my backlog ever gets smaller 😅

Thank you! I'm glad you liked those, wanted to add a little something extra to the video to help it stand out more and feel part of the design I'm going for 🙂

The discount for the T'au combat patrol is a bit better than what you say in the video, since the pathfinder team has the Killteam upgrade sprue, making it a 45€ kit instead of a 35€ kit. The old box had a better value, but not by a wide margin. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was the basic pathfinder kit, so it's a pretty nice additon.

Thanks for spotting! Apologies for the mistake - I didn’t see anything in the details to say that upgrade sprue was in it on the Warhammer website or Warhammer community when they mentioned it was coming on preorder. Only by looking through the sprue images did it confirm what you were saying. You’d think that would be added to make it a bigger selling point.
That does make it more interesting as you have another game option to be able to jump into too.

Two of the new Tau Combat Patrol and one of the previous one gives you all the infantry you would need for Tau IMO and two commanders for two Crisis suit teams.

Custodes one is absolutely bonkers. With shield captains and enhancements its like 1200 points, although its not a good list.

Would be interesting getting a breakdown of the combat patrol gamemode. And how certain boxes hold up in it.

Hi. Great video; breakdown of the units, costs etc. and production!
I use the Tyranid half of the Leviathan box to play Xenos Rampant and hope to play One Page Rules and Kill team one day. this leads to the question "what value do you get from these boxes for none 40k games?". Based on the number of models?
    4th - Custodes - 14 models; 1 Commander, 3 Terminators, 10 Space marines.
    3rd - Tau - 22 models; 1 Commander Mech, 10 pathfinders, 10 fire warriors, 1 vehicle.
    2nd - Orks - 25 models; 1 Boss, 4 cavalry (?), 20 orks warriors,
    1st - Chaos Space Marines - 26 models; 1 Master, 5 possessed, 10 Space marines, 10 cultists,
... However it is arguable that the Tau get great value by having a vehicle model, which bumps it up to either 2nd or 1st?
Considering that then the Custodes are significantly the worst! .
I'm not disagreeing with you - just saying they're the best for 40k due to their points, but not for other games due to model count etc.
I look forward to your future videos :)

Aren't the combat patrols supposed to play each other? How can anyone defeat half of a competitive Custodes army?

    • @TheCommandPhase
      @TheCommandPhase  3 месяца назад

The custodes combat patrol for the actual game is a portion of this box rather than the entire thing. But GW couldn’t just have that in a box without making it significantly cheaper than the current pricing.

Thankfully they mentioned in the last Metawatch they will be looking at their rules again, so fingers crossed they can get a much needed buff
