I wish we had giant snakehead in the states but not as an invasive species. Great video keep them coming! Maybe with some tips on tackle and stuff. Thank you!
Pretty wild video and the fish are beautiful. Looks like you could be a part time acrobat/gymnast with that incredible balance you maintain while fishing. While in Thailand those fish are right at home where they should be, here in the US (Florida) as everyone knows, they are out of their element and cause a bunch headaches/chaos for our natural fisheries. Someday I hope to venture to Southern Florida and catch (&kill) a few of those fish because it sure looks like fun.
good job buddy ,,,,come to virginia on the potomac river you can catch all the way up to 20 pounders : ) SNAKEHEADS : ) aquia landing : ) your home boy chillidog
What lure do u use? Will toman take if i use rubber frog? Good catch and keep up the good work.. All the best. ~give a man a fish and he will be fed for a day...teach a man how to fish and he will be broke~
@Waterdog84 they're in the same family the ones that were introduced in our country are the bullseye snakehead and the northern snakehead. the northern snakehead is the second in the snakehead family and is one hell of a fighter IMHO. :)
Look it up man. World record Snakehead was caught in Occoquan, VA just a few weeks ago. Official results are still pending because girth wasn't measured. So it may be dismissed because of a technicality, but the weight is there.
No worries. There's deffinitely snakehead around here. DNR routinly zaps the water and bring one up every 15 yards. Entire area around DC is crawling with them. I fish Occoquan, VA sometimes. Where the world record snakehead was just caught. Over 18lbs ! Crazy...

It has to be able to live free somewhere in Nature. The fisherman seems to have a lot of fun catching it and its really a beautiful fish.

For anyone wanting to listen to the Mr. Scruff track without the fishing commentary (nice as it is) - watch?v=jZHAb92E31E
I like the music... so cool...
This was totally "fresh of the boat", the music, the pictures,
Not over in eastern Asia they don't. That is where snakeheads are native and are actualy one of their more saught after freshwater game fish.
great slide show creativity
