This is so helpful for me since I'm attending NYFF for the 3rd year. Just the hotel and travel is always the most difficult for me when it comes to going to attending a film festival. Sundance is definitely in my future along with TIFF. Maybe Telluride if I can find a way to go with a group.
Great video, I went out one time while visiting my gf at the time (ex now, yeah yeah mini violin) and we saw the animated shorts and this little movie called Whiplash, man I love Whiplash. We used that e-ticket waitlist thing Really wanna go out there again!!
It’s a scam, before they open for submissions they have already chosen the films they will show. If you don’t have studio backing, aren’t already a name in the industry or don’t have a big name attached to your film it’s pointless and a waste of money. Focus on smaller festivals that you actually have a fair chance of getting in to.
@@roblinnbailey2359 I hear what you're saying, but to be able to say you've entered is why I'm doing it. I am also submitting a short this year. And yes, I won't win, and yes, no one will see it. But me and mine submitted, and that is pretty fuckin cool!
Just wondering, are you going to be doing a video on the “Hear Me Out” channel. (Or ATZShow) for TØP’s new album Trench?? I REAAAAALY hope you do! I LOVE the album so far! *||-//*
I just stumbled upon your channel today. I never would have thought about attending the festival but now I'm planning on going this year! Thanks for the info & awesome channel!
I've been dying to go to TIFF and Sundance for years but they always fall during school dates. I'm graduating from college in May so I think I'll finally be able to plan a trip next year! Now I just need a group of movie loving friends to split that airbnb with...
I’m officially going to be a half fest volunteer at a theatre at Sundance in January! Imma have to make that drive from slc to park city each day but fingers crossed the weather won’t be too terrible..
Hey there. Great tips! Curious, is there an easy way to check out the wide release dates of a specific movie? You provided a good tip, why see something that might be on Netflix within a month? Is there a site that tells you wide release dates?
As far as I know - not really I have seen Variety and Indiewire compile lists of what’s getting picked up but that isn’t until the first week I personally check each individual movie’s IMDb release page
Heading in January for my first time. I have a ski pass, but also want to see some movies. How fast do the individual passes sell out? Waiting for the on sale date in January and most movies I want to see are showing multiple times.
It's my goal to go to Sundance in the next 5 years, also I live in Colorado so I want to go to Telluride at some point as well. If you have that open spot I can drive myself and meet you there. Just saying. 😉
Cool video btw do you still listen to joey badass righteous minds (background music ) in your free time because I feel like the music I use in my videos I can’t ever listen in my free time as it becomes so annoying And btw can you make a video about mgk and em I wanna hear what you think
Hi, thanks for sharing all the tips! One question, do you recommend each person going buy a package or do you think two ppl could share the ticket package that costs $500?
thanks for the tips I always considered Sundance a little to boguie for my taste but I guess your right and I should go there at least once before I pass judgement and I do love movies
Why is the second week usually cheaper? Is that because the actors, etc. attend the first week making it more "valuable"? Just wondering because I love to hear them talk about their experiences/panels etc.
Sundance tickets $25 - $60 to buy in advance. For a Movie that is on Netflix in 4 days! You were not in Park City, and you didnt get into one movie, but your telling me how to book a flight & hotel? Life changing event?, if life changing is everything overpriced, long lines waiting in the cold only to not get in to a movie, no snow this year, unlimited traffic jams, overcrowded buses full of Gay Californians, 2 hour wait for restaurants, Worthless How to video.
I really want to go to Sundance this year so bad!!!!! I’m over 25 so I realized maybe I can’t purchase the $250 package. Does anyone know if the $500 is the next cheapest one?
I really imporant question I have! there's subtittles? specifically Spanish or other languages... I have no problem with movies in english, but I want to travel to sundance with friends from Chile and some of them aren't that good with english
Atz's top 5 would be
Having a kid
Sundance
Finding Nemo
Searching
Wedding
I would take out searching for whiplash and switch finding Nemo with space jam
You forgot Space Jam.
What's your boy gotta do to fill in that open spot?
Either way thanks for this man , My first time going is coming up and I needed to know all this!
It's so nice seeing this comment after 5 years. I love your videos
Just got my passes using your advice man! Thanks
I grew up in Utah. Even lived in Park City! I've never been able to go to Sundance...im glade I can hear about it from You!
How? They make you watch the films in highschool.

SO helpful!! You are funny as well - thank you! I am going tomorrow - my first time at Sundance :)
How was it? I would like to go next year.
This video you did literally got me hyped af
I'm going to try to go to Sundance by entering a short film I'm making into the festival
Good luck!

Kimball Junction is a quick Lyft ride from Park City and more affordable. Also, the eWaitlist via the Sundance Film Festival app.

My dream is to go to Sundance in Utah, but I've been to the one in London and it was amazing!
I just stumbled upon your channel today. I never would have thought about attending the festival but now I'm planning on going this year! Thanks for the info & awesome channel!
Do for Cannes film festival ....This is amazing

Just started thinking about going to Sundance, so this was helpful. One more question: How far ahead of time do you recommend buying tickets?
I’m officially going to be a half fest volunteer at a theatre at Sundance in January! Imma have to make that drive from slc to park city each day but fingers crossed the weather won’t be too terrible..
You’ll love it!
Extremely helpful video Art. Doing the Lord's work!
I live in Park City and Sundance is great but traffic is hell.
Ellie McG that’s why you don’t drive for those couple days 😂
I live In park city too! I'm from pinebrook
Been waiting for this vid since like last year, wow this is SO helpful thanks Art!
Thanks for giving Utah some credit. Love your channel by the way.
I know, most people think of Utah just becuase high School musical was filmed there.
And that line fr Drake and Josh “nothing ever happens in Utah”
totally marking this for future reference. thanks a lot!
I wanted to go to TIFF, but couldn’t this year, so Sundance is my next opportunity. I also wouldn’t mind getting that extra spot in the condo.
definitely on my bucket list...hopefully one day
Look in the Provo/Orem area for hotels. It's closer to Park City and Sundance and cheaper than SLC.
Or Heber
i am now so interested in going to sundance!!! also... are you in Toronto right now for Tiff!!!
Going to Sundance and Cannes Film Festival has been my dream for so long. I’ll volunteer for that extra condo spot!
Awesome! Very informative!
Holdup. Is this my man from let me explain!?

Hi! Great video I was wondering if you recommend the off peak pass? It doesn't specify but do you know if that pass is for all theaters? Thank you.
This was mega helpful. Thank you 👌
Glad it helped!
I’ll have to check this out sometime. I like Telluride because it’s at the perfect time of year (Labor Day) and most Oscar hopefuls show there.
Heading in January for my first time. I have a ski pass, but also want to see some movies. How fast do the individual passes sell out? Waiting for the on sale date in January and most movies I want to see are showing multiple times.
Thank you for the information man and I'm from Minnesota that cold won't fuck with me

You can def share it.
You’d be able to see 5 each
ALSO - individual tickets will also be on sale before the fest

What package do you recommend for a newbie who’s going for the 1st time ?
I know this is an old video. But have a trio to salt lake.
Do they do anything there outside of the festival?
Sundance tickets $25 - $60 to buy in advance. For a Movie that is on Netflix in 4 days!

I really want to go to Sundance this year so bad!!!!! I’m over 25 so I realized maybe I can’t purchase the $250 package. Does anyone know if the $500 is the next cheapest one?

Compa you still got that spot available?
Damn my mama would never take me to Utah just to go watch movies for 2 weeks rip. 😢 I guess all just wait till college fam. 🤠
Are you going to Sundance is 2020?
Did anyone notice "Watch Searching" in the background
Does Sundance allow animations as short films?
Yes. And they have some cool Vr stuff
The AtZ Show ok because I’m going to try to submit a short film to there, and I am only good at animating.
Do you have to sign NDAs when you watch these unreleased movies?
