@@benjacornejol I am thinking of doing this to my NP 2004 Pajero. A double DINN Airplay or Android device just how the factory did it in the later models after mine.
Is there any particular difficulty moving the heater and vent panel down where the CD Changer now resides as far as the cables etc behind the vent and temp control knobs.?

Hi PJ, I have the screwed in type and have removed it no problem, my new units cage is too small for the space and the are no holes to screw the old brackets into... not sure where to go next with it.

You would need to custom mount the heater control unit in the upper pocket section of the dash. This would leave a big enough hole for a double din radio.

Hi, First time trying to do this on RUclips.....I looked at your posted video before starting to fit a genuine Sat Nav system that I've purchased from a Shogun Mk3 that was being broken for parts and I'm fitting into a Shogun Mk3. I couldn't find any posts for actual doing this. You said message you if you had a question. I've got it all fitted in but have one wire from the navigation unit that I don't have a plug to plug it into. It's looks to be the wire that provides the power and possibly speakers and screen feed? I can't post picture as far as I can see so its a white plug with six pins with wire colours pink (top of plug on it's own) green, red, orange, yellow and black (all 5 across the bottom with colours running left to right as listed and looking at the back of the plug). The white plug is similar to one of the smaller radio plugs but the two guides inside are off centre so won't fit in the radio. I've managed to get everything to work except the navigation part of the display screen. Are you able to advise a solution? Any help would be appreciated. Not sure how you see a reply as never done this before.Thank you and regardsDavid

So you have the nav dvd player part with disk and the whole loom with speed pulse sensor? as well as the screen. Now I have not done one of those for years so correct me if wrong but is it not the case that the sat nav only takes five digit post codes on that model?
The plug you mention is not speakers so sounds like an interface connection for either the silver control box that measures around 5"x4"x1" or for cd changer. The black cable should be an earth, red switched live, yellow constant live, orange illumination, pink handbrake(switched earth).
Sorry if this is a bit vague but as mentioned it's been some years since I last worked on one with that setup.

Hi, Thank you for your reply, much appreciated. I bought from the donor Shogun the following radio/cd, display screen, switch box, remote, remote control receiver, GPS antenna, navigation DVD player unit, 10 CD Unit and associated cabling. I have seen a speed pulse sensor but from what I've read in the manual it wouldn't work on a diesel which I have. The 10 CD unit has a long black cable with a black plug with a chrome round end to push in the back of the radio and black, red & yellow wires with push connectors one end to push into the altered white radio plug with red and yellow cables added and with earth ring connector to bolt to body. Other end has plugs to plug in the CD unit.Don't know on 5 digit post codes as haven't got it to work yet and assuming Nav CD is inside it, fingers crossed. The other book says it the first Nav system to route for traffic. The plug (which is the socket part so requires a plug to go in it) as far as I can see doesn't go in the switch box as there is another cable that is a black with black plugs either end goes between Nav DVD and switch box. There is no where to plug it into the switch box and the cable is long enough to get to the centre consul area. The switch box has a cable that runs from it to the centre consul and has various plugs and sockets to connect into the factory radio plugs and switch box together.(has 13 wires and a black earth off it to bolt to the body) but nothing for this plug(now socket) with 6 wires. Hence don't where it goes and can't see an used plug on the cars loom that would match this plug(socket). Any help would be appreciated. I can send you pictures if that helps, let me know what you need. Regards Daviddavidnash911@gmail.com

You mentioned it has the ability to do traffic so I'm guessing you have a traffic antenna? if so does this plug in to the radio or the control box? (this may help with the other connector).

    • @davidnash1528

Hi, I've checked and the GPS antenna plugs into the back of the navigation DVD unit and the remote receiver IR plugs into he switch box. There isn't any other antennas even though book mentions reacting to live traffic conditions. Had another look round the wiring in the car but can't see an obvious location for the socket that powers the Navigation DVD unit to plug into. Spoken to breakers yard this afternoon that I bought it from and the remainder of the car has been crushed. Feels like there is a set on connections/wiring missing. Found a post of Pajero owners club back in May 2013 that details same problem but never detailed the full solution another than found missing cable/wire. Tried to reach out to post but no reply yet. Called in Mitsubishi today to try and get look at their system to find location of the wire but said they were fitted in UK so wouldn't be on system. Then spoke to MitzBitz specialist breakers and they said fitted in the factory but hadn't had a car in in years with Sat Nav system in. So getting mixed messages. Thank you for your replies. Not sure what the solution is at moment. Regards David
