I believe I’ve watched just all of Uncle West’s interviews (at least those available online), and this is hands down my favorite. It felt a little more intimate and personal. I appreciate the interviewer trying to usher out West the human, and not just the public intellectual.
West is the greatest educator. He's a trepatriot that has hope besides the issues we face. He knows trps agenda of egomania better than anyone. God bless America.
Dr. Cornell West talks eloquently about people who are despised, people who are shut out and ignored. I've wondered for a long time why he has never been a voice for those most shunned: unhoused people. The evidence of prejudice is clear, the research and documentation is there, yet it is never made public. Dr. West could use his powerful voice to bring this to the forefront and begin to put a stop to the immense suffering, yet he's MIA.
It boggles the mind how people can always find a way to criticize another. Dr. West speaks ceaselessly about the need to help the poor. One can safely assume that includes the unhoused. Must he specify every particular manifestation of poverty and neglect in order to escape the charge that he was "silent" on the issue?
I noticed that the Media can imitate anything negative but struggle most often with maturity and People that can mind their business and not bother Anyone. That is difficult for the Media to imitate. Or being honest about what People are overdue to keep paying their bills on time. Good Morning America/ World 🌎
Cornel West, aka Caliban Taliban, you recalled Robert Nozick as a crucial mentor, have you read through his book "Philosophical Explanations"?
