    'It is what it is'
Mate, I will tell you what it is ... it is thousands of people saying 'what is goin' on you lot' to their friends, and trying Subway salads and finally using their gym membership. Because of you. And *more importantly* thousands of people thinking a little more deeply about their lives, and gaining perspective and making the absolute most of their day. Because of you.
Some people are on this planet ninety years, and they never achieve anything close to that.
You are our rock star, Emily Hayward. Never forget it xxx

As much as I would love Emily to have had more time I'm glad for her that this stage of her journey was relatively short. This wasn't the Emily that we knew and loved... although we loved her however she was , she was suffering and knew her time was limited, you can see it in her eyes. The poor girl couldn't do any of the things she loved, her beautiful hair gone... her gorgeous smile and the cheeky little twinkle she had. What must have been going through her mind, knowing how tuned in she was about her illness she had to know that she was nearing the end. I'm glad it's over for her... that she is no longer in pain and no longer dealing with the stress of her situation. The little darling went through enough in her short life, I just hope that the bright, cheerful, energetic, thoughtful beautiful girl that we all got to know and love is enjoying her rewards now in heaven... free, healthy and happy. God bless you Emily xx.

Emily, I was very sick years ago after waking from coma. Suddenly I couldn't walk far and got so tired.
I still wanted to come with my friend to he's car and the movies, but walking half way out of the hospital, and I was exhausted.. 20 years old, then, by the way...
For some reason, I refused to sit in a wheel chair. Ended with my friend " borrowing" the cantine food trolley 🙃😜. Every time he kame and took me somewhere, he pushed me on that.. The security man smiled and said it was ok as long as my friend went back with it . one day an other security guard was there instead of the usual one. He came running after us, angry and said that's not a toy, get off... My friend tried to explain, but understandable, he did hes job..
I still refused the wheel chair 😫... I was told too, I didn't have long ( they were wrong, tho) , so I felt sicker and imberrest or something... Wondered afterwards, why didn't I just let someone push me around in a wheelchair!? It would have been much easier. Now, I wouldn't feel imberrest or sicker, but then, I wasn't emotionally ready yet. I used to sit in them playing, when visiting someone in a home where wheelchairs stood in the hall, but when I needed one, I wouldn't. Hard for others to understand, but I understand it is hard. I hope you know it's only you who think negative about it. Everyone else doesn't judge. If some do, they doesn't count, because they are people who aren't worth our time or thoughts 😝😉.
Do what's best for you and Aisha! Thousands of people "knows" you and loves you and only wants the best for you 💕!
It's very understandable that you are tired. I have to sleep twice a day to" load my batteries " Hate it, but I can't fight it more than a day and catch up the next...
So glad you have Aisha. You to are amazing together. Wish I was more like you two! You inspire me to change a lot in my life!
Greatful for finding your channel and you tough amazing girls. 💕👌
      Love from me 😘❤♥❤♥❤♥

Georgina's Journey I have a mobility chair as well, and I am doing two charity projects, work with cancer patients; work with elderly people that can't get out to shop. (I shop for them) I still can walk but have rumors in the back etc..not malignant thank god, but I get around just fine. There's an adjustment, sure as hell, but it challenges me to make the day(s) count more. But that has always been my personality... to stay active, and kick life in the butt joyfully!

Hey ladies lovely to hear from you. Have you thought of borrowing an electric scooter in stead ?
That means you could be independent Emily as in controlling where and which way you want to go, Aisha can look amazing running after you if she can catch up !
Most shopping centres have them for loan or I’m sure an OT occupational therapist has access to one for a loan. You could attach your camera to the front like a body cam and give us a birds eye view of you out and about.
Seriously though it would get you out of the house as you have mentioned before you get stir crazy at home. At least that way you can hold a conversation with Aisha as you could walk and steer side by side rather than have to keep yelling if Aisha is pushing you and can’t hear each other. It’s not going backwards Emily try and think of it as just another way , a different way of going forwards together ?
Big hugs to you both xx

Not only because of selfish desires we have to see you, as we’ve grown to love you, but also to the world in general, to educate on the ups and downs of life, and life with cancer.
This footage gives clear and honest insight into the daily changes.
Aisha, your kind, constantly considerate support of Emily gives all loved ones of a cancer patient true guidance.
Emily, you do you, whatever you feel like is right, documenting when you feel able, with honesty is all you need do as you are legendary at it.

She truly was an inspiration with an unbreakable spirit, fighting against the odds every day. Despite her declining health, she was relentless and kept pushing herself, pushing her limits. Exactly how I was thinking. Im rewatching everything now and saw her light starting to dim in the last couple videos. Especially when she bows her head speechlessly in her responses to comments as if she knows its happening. I hate it. I dont believe she recieved the best care, their "prognosis" was kinda the same for a year and 1/2 like they had no other resources to try. I really wish she had seen other doctors for second and even third opinions Its selfish but I feel like if she would have beaten this going with an oncology team who could say more than they did.

@@lamunecamuerta7380 I'm wondering if she could have gotten second opinions or opted for other treatments with the healthcare system in the U.K.. I don't live there, so not sure how that works. Not trying to criticize the system there at all, so please everyone, not trying to offend anyone. I know that even here in the USA, some private insurance plans, don't cover certain treatments, and are not accepted by all doctors or hospitals. Does anyone who lives in the UK know if she could have explored other options? She fought a long, hard battle, and I applaud her bravery. May this beautiful soul RIP. 😢💔

Couldn’t have put it better then Jo Cannon Emily, I am 40 yrs old, been happily married for 17yrs to my husband (my Aisha) and have 3 children. I have an autoimmune disease and am disabled and so I used to be a less involved with my family before I subbed to your channel. I was more easily talked into going for a rest or a lie down rather than playing with my children or just spending time doing simple things like colouring in or making Lego with them. You have inspired me to make the most of every second as their childhood is going by so quickly, so now I do colouring/Lego/reading/homework etc in bed if necessary BUT I do it and that is thanks to you.
Thank you for giving me a purpose again. Thank you for giving my 3 children their mummy back. Thank you for sharing your life, your good days and your bad days with us.

Sweetheart, low blood pressure is shitty, and it will make you display all the symptoms you are right now, because your body is fighting harder to do everything, including talk ( tho I know you know all that ), so what Aisha says is absolutely true...to be getting up and about and going out doing stuff is wonderful, and testament to your underlying fitness...you are courageous and strong, and your continued commitment to letting us in to your daily struggles does not go without gratitude from this community...nor without love ❤
Big hooj enormous love to you both...keep tearing the arse out if it kiddo xx

I’m a nurse in USA and I can tell you, I often have patients with very low blood pressure and will put them in the Trendelenburg position (head down feet up) for even just 15 minutes and it increases the blood pressure quite a bit. Just make sure your feet are above your heart level. The idea is to get your blood to flow toward your heart/head. Hope this helps! You both are in my prayers daily! ❤️

Anyone who has an Aisha in their lives is truly blessed! You are doing great Em. I had a spiral femur fracture and was told if I were 5 years older, I would spend the rest of my life in a nursing home. I ended up working my ass off and can walk. But there are many times my leg cannot keep up and a wheelchair is really a blessing in disguise. I've never thought of it as a step back, we are not the same as we were in the past, but when energy is down, they are a life saver. Love seeing you out like this, I love that pink in your cheeks!

If I didn't have a wheel chair I wouldn't leave the house. My wheelchair is a tool it isn't me it doesn't define me and it won't define you, it will be a great aid. Also My hubby got me got out to Tesco the other day. Bumped into friends and had an impromptu lunch down our local links by the sea. All thanks to my wheel chair. Emily's whole journey has really made me evaluate my own life. The amount she fitted in to such a short time. The cancer was relentless, so rarely did she have any positive news yet she seemed to just sail through it all and make the most of every minute. Really inspirational and puts everything in perspective. All she really wanted was more time to do the things she loved and be with the people she loved. What she'd have given for another week or month... yet she was grateful for every minute she had. All of our little problems seem so insignificant in comparison.

I don't know if the two of you truly realize what an inspiration you have been to so many people. Aisha...you as the caregiver. Always positive...always with that bright, beautiful smile...always making the best with how Emily feels each day, giving her your encouragement and words of wisdom (in my house, they have come to be known as "Aishaisms")...always giving her your unconditional love and support...always being her rock...the epitome of what a partner does for the person they love. And you dear, sweet, beautiful Emily...the person who has been battling this horrible disease for years, but has done so with courage that even the bravest men/women do not know...the way you have bounced back from every single piece of bad news you have been given and the way you treat every piece of good news as the greatest victory...the strength you have shown to us all in your resolution of accepting your diagnosis/prognosis, while insisting that you are going to fight and defy the odds for as long as you can...your sheer determination that you have not and will not let the cancer define who you are and that you are going to live your life your way...and you have done all these things with tremendous humility and grace. There are people here from all over the world, and while most do not know you personally, we have all come to care for you both a great deal. We continue to hope and pray for a miracle, but know that whatever the future holds, you both have left an indelible mark in the minds and hearts of all of us.

I know the thought of being out in a wheelchair feels like a step in the wrong direction...my sweetheart Emily, but it's much better to be OUT in one than having to STAY IN because you have not got much strength and feel exceptionally weak. Believe me, darling I've been there. If you feel once you are in it that you feel strong enough to walk for a while, get out and push it and that will give you support too. You are such an incredibly courageous young lady and your strength of fight is most admirable and totally amazes me every day. Having your beautiful wife Aisha by your side delights me knowing how well she looks after you and encourages you every second of every day. You are both a perfect complement of each other...she's the flip to your flop, your sea to your ocean, your peanut to your butter, but most of all she's the love of your life. Keep strong beautiful ladies. Love you both millions xx😍😘😍xx

I'm a wheelchair and scooter user. It really opens up the world to me again and lets me do things with my kids. My main issues are fatigue, balance and pain, and I've been ill for twelve years now, in slow decline. I slur when I'm tired too, I know it's frustrating to not be able to do things as normal, but if something enables you to keep doing things, it's not really a bad thing or a failure on your part. It's doing the best with what you've got. Xxx

Your speech is good. It was a bit slurred in the beginning, but I think Aisha is right, if it’s not important you aren’t concentrating on it. It was perfect through the rest of the video. You said something like “short, snappy segments” which is hard to say in the best of circumstances. I was laughing when you said it. Your brain cells are working perfectly. Hope you have a good day. Maybe your energy will improve. I don’t know about the wheelchair. It depends how tired you get walking I guess. I’d probably stick to walking even a short distance as long as I could. Anyway, it’s always lovely to see you both and happy you can still smile and laugh. Thanks for making the vlog. We all appreciate it so much. Oh you actually said “short, sharp snippets; “ that’s even harder.

The best advice I can give in regards to using a wheelchair is this; it’s not there to stop you moving forward, it’s there to allow you to keep your independence at a point where otherwise you would stop all together. I avoided using one for years and that resulted in me missing out on time with my loved ones, not leaving the house and staying isolated when my family would go out and it made me miserable. I finally gave in and rented one for a big family holiday where we would cruise the world and it changed my life for the better. I didn’t miss out on a damn thing and I got to see how beautiful this earth is and cherish every moment with my wonderful family. I’m not using it any more as right now it’s not necessary for me, but I will forever be thankful for the independence it gave me at a time I needed it most :) it’s not giving up, it’s going forward and refusing to miss out! Much love Emily and Aisha!!

There is no giving up in dying from cancer...she has no choice in the matter, it has been chosen for her. It is good for Aisha to be positive around her and to keep her feeling as good as possible, but of course she is down lately, she is watching her own life slip away from her and is having to face her mortality. When I had chemo I was the same way. The doctor called it chemo brain. A brain fog. I found myself getting word wrong. I'd get ahead in my thinking and my words would come out wrong, if that makes any sense. Sometimes I'd forget things. I was aggravated with myself. Tiredness was a big issue. Sometimes just couldn't go. I didn't have the energy. Since the cancer I was in a coma and find it hard to go distances. I've considered a scooter so I could go more. I have a grandson with autism and I'd like to take him to a zoo or Disney World, but to much walking right now for me. It's not fair to him to not be able to take him somewhere to enjoy himself. Being in the house is no fun for him all day. Walking any airport would be impossible for me right now. I don't like being like this but I'm trying to do better. It's hard and a struggle at times. I can understand where you're coming from. I'm sorry your not feeling good and strong. A scooter would coserve your energy and you'd still be able to go places. Maybe you'll get feeling better after some of the treatment your going through. During treatment it's bad I know. I got inner ear damage with chemo and started walking and I'd walk into people or bump off walls. Started losing my balance. Would fall. They made me use a cane. I went to therapy for it. They said they couldn't cure it, I'd have to adjust. I even had vertigo. It was bad. I took severe fibromyalgia out of having cancer. They can't cure it either.Told me sometimes you can get it after a life threatening illness. It's painful. I ended up getting to much lyrics and it stopped my kidneys and other organs followed. That's what put me in a coma. The side effects of chemo are not good but the option of not taking it are not good either. Your both in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless.

I was convinced I would be giving in or not moving forward if I allowed myself to sit and shower but then I did it and realized that not only the mental torture before a shower lessened but I took more showers and eventually I was feeling all around a little better day by day because every SINGLE THING YOU CAN DO TO MAKE YOUR LIFE less painful helps your body get better...heal...

I'd say definitely get a wheelchair!! It might seem like a step back but that's only because you've attached those negative connotations to it in your mind? It's only another piece of medicine - this time its outwardly helping your body instead of internally like the drugs/medicine? If it's the difference between sitting inside or being out in the sunshine having a good day then go for it! Just a different way of getting about - and you can get up and walk about out of it if you're in a park etc - you're not trapped!

Using a wheel chair is merely utilizng a tool to enhance your quality of life, thereby defining your existence rather than the cancer setting your limits. I implore you to consider it, use it and visit a gym and do what you love. P.s. your speech is still good and as Aiesha stated it's clear when you are saying the important stuff. I find distracting my hands whilst talking improves my speech. Remember just because you are differently abided, it does not disable you from enjoying your life. Angels encamped around you and yours.
