  • He's known as the "Father of the Blood Bank." Dr. Charles R. Drew was an African American surgeon who pioneered the field of blood transfusions and blood storage.

    First, he was the child of two black parents. He was NOT biracial. It’s interesting that in 2023, suddenly no one understands that black people come in different colors. Second, why did they leave out the part about how he died after a car crash? He bled to death because there was not a colored or black hospital close enough to where he was injured. He saved so many lives and could have done so much more, but he wasn’t good enough to be given proper medical treatment.

      Lol no. "Black" Americans come in different shades because they've been mixed with Europeans. The average african american has about 20%+ European Ancestry. They would not blend into a crowd in an African country

    I believe he was bi racial but back then he was considered all black but his credits should be credited! 💯💯💯💯💯

      Since when did white supremacists start caring about that? He died from lack of medical treatment because he was Black, not half-white.
