Steffan Pila Awesome Live Version of "Batteries Not Included." Eddie Jobson's Synthesizer Tastes are top notch along with Ian Anderson's soaring vocals and flute. Thank you!!!!!
Also featuring the recently recruited multiinstrumentalist Dave Pegg, former Fairport Convention member, and the powerful Mark Craney, who sadly passed away some years later. This actually was the studio album line-up
In order it was...King Crimson, Dixie Dregs, FM (opened for Rush), Rush, Jethro Tull and The Who. Don't know why this is listed as just Jethro Tull - Batteries Not Included. I'll have to fix it !
The bridge of the song has been edited out. I remember that there was a powerful strobe light effect at that point of the concert when I saw them a few day before or after this. RUclips restrictions on posting strobe light effects?
No. This is super 8 film. Film lasted 3:20, then had to be changed out of the camera. I had probably 20 minutes worth of film for a 2 hour concert. Sometimes stopping and starting during a song was by choice, other times the film ran out.
@@jwbronco30 Thank you for the explanation. A few of us were hoping for a 40th anniversary edition of Tull's A album with more live footage from this tour.
Happy 77th Birthday Ian Anderson! Thanks for everything!!!

1980 at Philly Spectrum....I was at this show
What are the other bands showcased here? I can see King Crimson, Rush, and the Who, but I can't make out everyone else.

Tom, I have a 27 minute video of this show on my channel. Search Jethro Tull live in concert 1980.
@@WR105Prof Good news! There’s one out in April.
@@QuietBatperson96 Saw that. Already pre-ordered mine.
This song is a bit Yes-ish
"A" is much more superior than it's been always considered. One of my top albums.
Me too, Rodrigo!
