I remember reading a few weeks ago Derby fans saying they were going to come to Portman Road and play us off the park 🤔🤔🤔. I think they are a team in transition and expect a tougher fixture away from home. But we didn’t play that well and still took all 3 points. Even the last 20 minutes wasn’t that scary for a change.
Haven't they learnt nothing in penalty taking, run & shoot hard to the corners. Look back to Lineaker he never missed one. Good result & a decent performance.
Need another penalty taker like John Wark or Steve Whitton. Always confident watching those step up, and none of this shuffling or stuttering the run up.
I noticed there were no replay’s on the “ penalty” that was given. Derby have a team put together just before the start of the season, and a new manager, having said that there was not a lot between the the teams, a gifted goal well taken was the difference.
@@ngreenwald2912 Perceptive. And how many of their chances did Ipswich take? However, my late father in law came from Bardwell, and I’ve always followed Ipswich, has he did. I wish the team and their supporters all the best for the rest of the season.
Yeah 100% much more of a penalty that the one we got given 🤣but we’ve had worse refs, this season. Nice to see a team come to Portman Road and not putting more effort into wasting time than playing football. Although they didn’t offer much in attack at 1-0 you always worry.
Was looking forward to this one….holy macaroni what a boring game! Almost devoid of real chances both sides, and Town must have set a new world record for passes gone astray. It really was ridiculous at times. We have no forwards, please don’t get me started on Jackson and Ladapo. They are simply not good enough. The last third of the pitch is a major concern. For the neutrals watching this, it was two hours of your life you will never get back. As I was watching, I couldn’t help to think what an enormous gap in quality there is between the Premier league and this level. Almost like two different sports. The result was great for Town, but as quality and entertainment goes…oh my, my. I’ve watched Town a few times this season, and I can’t really see any pattern/system. They are lucky that they have a quality goalkeeper in Walton, let us hope we can hold onto him. The back four is decent enough, Burns is a livewire on the right flank, but the rest really leave a lot to be desired. Two away games coming up, hopefully we can keep the points rolling in.
Dude, we've scored the second highest amount of goals in the entire football league, second only to Man City and before this game had the equal amount of chances per game as City! Calm down!
The atmosphere was electric and despite not creating much in the final third, it was a significant win by all means 💙
Solid performance from Marcus harness, always looked a threat ☺️👏

Keepers miles off his line on that pen
Still a poor pen
About 8 players inside the area before he kicks it too. But yes, a poor penalty
I don’t think he even looked confident when he stepped up for that
What a run from jacko
Not our best performance but love the three points. Anyone going port vale on Tuesday know a good pre match pub?
The bulls head mate class pub their pints are always spot on 👍
@@Gsd_ cheers I’ll be there
What was the linesman doing for the penalty, the keeper was at least a foot of his line when the ball was struck.
Seems the linesman was the only person who did not see how far the keeper was off his line when the penalty was taken !! Great win Town......

he missed quite a few penalties actually

What's with the kit? Don't get me wrong,I love it. But why were we in black?
Keeper way off his line but good performance lads 🚜

@@davidgrahambrown3793 yes and I wish the same for Derby. Two clubs who have suffered historically at the hands of very poor owners
@@ngreenwald2912 So true Norman, and the paying fans are the ones that suffer. Kind Regards.
It looked a very soft penalty but the other one should have been given 🤷🏻♂️
Who's commentary
Take 3 points all day long... back to being rock solid at the back. It will click soon going forward and someone will pay a heavy toll
JJ pen was clear all day

Shame on the sin money for playing in an away kit at home , good result but shame it has become all about the money

Bit harsh. Theyre second. A lot of clubs would love to swap places.

That strip needs retiring absolutely awful
Beaut strip! 11k sold and our best ever selling shirt. Won't be used again this season, can only be used once.
