After years of running lead-acid batteries, he upgraded to RELiON lithium batteries due to the many advantages over lead-acid counterparts.     Since you can safely drain lithium batteries down further than lead acid chemistries, have you considered switching to a lower amp-hour unit? You will typically get about 40 amp-hours of usable power, at 36 volts, out of a 3-bank, 100 amp-hour SLA or AGM setup, before they need to be recharged. With LiFePO4 (lithium Iron-Phosphate), you could switch to three 54 amp-hour batteries and get the same amount of power, but cut your weight even more.

    Thank you for the video! I understand the improvement gained by moving to lithium batteries. My concern is the price. How much do they cost and Can you start with 1 lithium battery and add it to an alkaline battery setup?

      Maybe I can answer Lithium is complety different including the charger. So noyou can not mix. Still comes to price.
