I think what is great is that the music has the inspirational sound, but the youth are embracing it and making their own. Expressing the emotions of the generation. A rebirth of crunchy and loud alternative rock is always welcomed as a potential sign of upcoming angsty change in the world.
Yup, you nailed it. I feel like there's a bit of Moaning Lisa Smile by Wolf Alice in there too. Just wish the poster was Veruca Salt or Babes in Toyland or the Breeders. Love Kurt and can't blame them for looking up to him the way I looked up to Joe Perry, Ace Frehley, and Hendrix.
@@jakelecroy5553 hell yeah!! Wolf Alice has been in my playlist for a while. I really dig the “chick” bands. Especially ones that work to get there! Keep rockin’ fellow humans!
The rhythm guitar sound is all Catherine Wheel-ish and as a Gen X guy who listened to that stuff in the 90s, I’m here for it. They’ve captured the vibe and the sound. Love it.
As a nearly 45 year old guy who was in high school when Grunge was breaking out, this band absolutely NAILED it with their modern take on it. Nirvana, Soundgarden, Veruca Salt, Breeders, Sonic Youth, Pixies...ya'll coulda toured with them. Nobody else I've heard in the last 20+ years has come close to capturing the sound and the feeling like Momma has.
check out Margaritas Podridas, Hello Mary and PONY. if you like you can check out my DJ list, im sure there are a ton of bands you would love if you love this sound.
@@rjcummings8566 reminds me of fu manchu. i mostly listen to bands with female singers but theo verney and ty segall are really good 90s sounding artists.
Heard them first on the radio a few weeks ago driving through Nevada.... Imagine that sound with the desert landscape.... unbeatable ... Hope you´re doin a promo tour to Europe soon.....
Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes!!!!! I came here on the recommendation of Louise Post from Veruca Salt herself and am NOT disapointed!!!!! You are WONDERFUL!!!! I AM A FAN!!!!
I caught the end of this scanning the radio last night waiting to pick up my 14 year old daughter, I turned 14 in 1990, and this was like a time warp for me. I love this, the kid loves it. Today I'm showing our support by buying the music and some gear. This is real deal music right here. Not over produced, over promoted industry junk. So glad I found this.
Ahhhhhh! The refreshing 'crunch' of that '90s sound! Im a 54 yr old guy who used to bounce at a bar that had the 'new' grunge sound back then. You bring me back. You kids are great! Im yer newest fan.
Love the retro vibes, the rockmaraderie, and of course the grunge-inspired, lo-fi sound. Reminds me of the Breeders; someone else said Veruca Salt. Channeling the 90s is all that matters. Anyway, how does this only have 87k views?
I started listening to alternative rock in the early 1980s on 89X in Detroit. Absolutely love '80s and 90s alternative rock. Love the sound of these guys; excuse me - gals!!
Man I love this. It's like someone put Veruca Salt and Juliana Hatfield in a blender and left the top off... *awesomeness everywhere. Can't wait to see you live!
They opened for girl in red in Washington dc and they were super good. Thats what brought me here and im so grateful that I was introduced to this band 🫶
beautiful song!!! and speeding 72 too, my 5 year old daughter loves it! For me that means that you have a lot of future friends! greetings from Argentina!!!
This is my new favorite band. Only taken about 5 years to find something that feels and sounds organic. Found them listening to Wet Leg. I think they are going on tour together. No where near me though.
Just found this band, loving the tunes and also found Devon Again recently and I realised one of the three guys at the start is in a Devon Again video too. Anyway, bangin' tunes!
I just heard your Band on a local radio station here in Pittsburgh Pa . I really like your sound and style . You remind me of Veruca Salt back in the day . Keep up the dedication . we love it !
It was a really familiar sound and I was digging it, I think maybe its reminding me of The Breeders or maybe Seether or something? I don’t know anymore and I guess it doesn’t matter as long as its good.
This has a very Veruca Salt inspired sound. Good to see young kids embracing the post grunge alternative sound of the 90's. It's refreshing.
Glad I'm not the only one 🙂

It's easy to sound like an era; it's really, really hard to sound like you're actually *from* it. You've nailed it.
That Dog .. good stuff
The production and sound of these last two singles are stellar. This is going to be the album where Momma blows the f**k up!
Any band that name drops "Hummer" from the Smashing Pumpkins is cool in my book. Love their sound!
if your favourite song ain't hummer i don't want to talk to you tbh
One of the best Smashing Pumpkin songs ever! That vibe of the guitars in intro of hummer I get listening to Momma!
Yea true on that🔥🔥🎸🎸

@wlndbeach I'm proud for you
Takes me straight back to the indie 90's, updated and wih an extra 2022 touch. This band is great
You have no idea how amazing it is to hear the Veruca Salt influence here.
Yep that too and I've been listening to them since early 2021
I don't know how you're the only band who has figured out how to get this guitar sound in the past 25 years, but I am HERE FOR IT.
For real

Check out Kyuss! Particularly, "Green Machine". Has that nice snorkely crunch.

I bet that experience felt very surreal for you🔥😎❤️🎸
They deserve to be very famous.
They are such a breath of fresh air. If they don’t become wildly successful I’ve lost all faith in humanity.

Yessss, 90s vibes I ❤️it....
This is so good. Please fuuuckin let this be the start of a resurgence of rock music.
This is Momma calling their shot like Babe Ruth. This band is gonna be big, I’m investing now.
i just got to see em, and got some "Frog Stomping" flashbacks. (thats a good thing)

The product placement with your first record at 1:13 is Genius. I can’t wait for y’all to play Texas again.
Glad they are touring.
I’m from the 80s and I think this shit is amazing. So many levels and super heavy. Definite Veruca Salt vibe but 2022 version. Cool.
Production and songwriting has reached a whole new level.. album gonna be amazing!
Love the song. I've always been a big Veruca Salt fan and this song totally channels VS. Production is awesome.
Here because Guitar World described this as a fuzz reawakening and recommended for fans of Smashing Pumpkins. Did not disappoint.
Sounds like 1994
This is my happy song! Makes me have hope for the new Rock n Roll generation. Thank you 😊
They opened for girl in red in Washington dc and they were super good. Thats what brought me here and im so grateful that I was introduced to this band 🫶

Momma get me my medicine that makes me feel like a tall tree.
If you like Filter you like this band
Tall tree yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
been stuck in my head for days
all hail momma
Best music ive ever seen
This is what you get if Veruca Salt and The Smashing Pumpkins had a child.
I was thinking the exact same thing. Veruca Salt with Smashing Pumpkins instrumentation. In a good way though obviously, this is dope.
@@michaelgriffith8815yeah I very much agree!
My new favourite band as of 6 hours ago. Awesome.
This is one of the best bands to emerge in the last few years! Love 'em.
Thank you for playing rock guitar.
Love this band!!
This song played on the radio yesterday (106.7 The Resistance) when I was on my lunch break. Loved it!

Veruca Salt. Check out their song Seether, who the band Seether is named after.
