Nice Firefly. The Brits did a good job with the Australian technical package for 17 pdr installation in a tank turret. Interesting to hear about its S Tank development role. The development history with the other vehicles is good to know.
The jagpd 38t never had a muzzle brake as it was not needed. Instead it was fitted with a screw on cap to protect the end of the gun barrel. . This was because the pak 75 was designed and manufactured with a muzzle brake. The threads were still there so the cap was fitted. The same was also the case for the jagpd IV Lang with the L /70 gun.
Tanks or any tracked vehicles are awesome....until you've actually had to break track and keep up on the maintenance intensive care tracks require. The US Army issued us a breaker bar and socket, try imagining undoing a fine thread locknut that's creaking the entire time you're undoing it and you have several more pads to replace.
Iv helped attach the tracks for a bulldozer and it is no cakewalk . as for this tank im sure it was a job that nobody wanted to do American army tanks were as fast as a car infact they could keep up in the dirt . later they came out with a rubber band for the tracks and they drove on the hiway . totally. Amazing
You do understand the 40mmBofors weapons are one of the most widely sold anti-aircraft/anti-shipping weapons of the modern era, at one time in the last 85+ years, nearly all well equipped countries that have fought another country in some form of large war, have purchased the rights for licensed production of them, purchased them, hired them or stolen them to use. If the Maxim gun and all its descendants was the 1st globally marketed machine gun in the very early 1900s, then the Bofors 35mm to 50mm range was the 1st global machine cannon from the 1920s/30s.
I find it amazing that the combination of American and British technology. The best British tank was the firefly American tank British gun. The British offered to America to licence build this gun but we refused. Instead we used the 76mm gun which was inferior. The P-51. American design British engine. The jagd 38t, not hetzer, has the early heavy mauntlent. This means it was an early example. It was replaced as it was too heavy. I find it annoying that the only thing that they know about any tank is from a video game.
Nice. However I cannot avoid the feeling that the girl is doing her best to show enthusiasm and interest but she looks like in her mind she is "jesus im bored to death".
Wow, she looks short compared with Nick, yet she looks really tall compared with this guy. I'm guessing she's about 5'6" or so, and this guy isn't much over 5'0"
Swedish army conscripted all men in to military service up until about year 2000. Guys that were small of stature would often be placed as tank crew men or something similair where their physical size would be an advantage rather than an a disadvantage. Now, I think Stefan Karlsson requested to be placed in the armoured batallions, but if he had been as tall as the Chieftain I don't think he had gotten that assignment.
Na, we used it for several test, including maneuverability - which it wasn't very good at. Perhaps due to bad maintenance, and lack of skill among the Swedish tankers trying to understand this beast without manuals. When it came to the final test; surviving ammunition from Bofors, it simply wasn´t much to save afterwards. The Swedish Tiger II ended it days on a firing field. The rumor states that the big hatch on the back of the turret was saved, but I haven't seen it, no matter that I have asked all "majors" at tank/army museums in Sweden. The engine is however saved, and still displayed at Arsenalen (I should hope).
I know this is an older video but the audio is So low it's indecipherable. One can only crank the volume so much on a system before it damages the speakers trying to amplify a weak signal.
Because War Thunder has messy menus. I just can't get into it. Maybe it's easier on PC, but it doesn't feel as optimised for console as world of tanks.
Please be mindful that foreign speakers don’t understand “ gotcha “, and colloquialisms. Please speak slower as well. We can’t take English for granted. 👍👍
Sweden has a higher percent of english speakers than Canada. So most swedes learn to understand and speak english in school. (with an accent of course)
@@pandaman2966Most younger Swedes could easily pass as Americans when they speak English. I’ve been told it’s mostly because they consume a lot of American media.

Full marks to Stefan for maintaining eye contact with Sofilein for the whole video.
John Skeels - There are a lot of very pert women in Sweden. He’s probably quite used to it.
She is a cutie! ❤️
Sofielien looks so nice in this one! She is lovely!
Someone has a sense of humor with making sure the mannequin get into frame.

She said she got the bug when she bought her first PzIV, at age 8. Amazing!
Actually the anti-aircraft tank seen in the film was called Landsverk Anti II in Finland. It was armed with a single 40mm Bofors gun.

The US developed the M-19 twin 40mm Bofers gun carriage from the M-24 Chaffee light tank.
I know I’m way late in the game, but Sofa was a bit lazy by leaning on the tank. Hand prints 😅it’s a Museum piece.
