Even though the soloists are not as famous as those of previous years, they are excellent singers and the music is fantastic, as it always is in the ''Christmas in Vienna''. Thank you for posting this!

Love this concert and the one from 2008. I especially liked that you used the pipe organ in this concert. I think Christmas concerts should only have Christmas music. This one seems to have half secular and opera type music which isnt very Christmasey. Keep the Christmas music for the Christmas concerts and the other music for the rest of the year. All the music was wonderful, the soloists and the orchestra and boys choir. Just marvelous. Thanks.

Odd, then, that after 1776, Americans continued to stand. Possibly the Viennese think Handel more important than a one-time English king.

Wonderful concert. I was happy to hear the soloists sing in the Hallelujah Chorus. I've seen it done with and without them singing. Is there any precedent for this for when it's done or not done? I love the effect of hearing those wonderful voices mixed with the choir.

New talents? Where ? they are not new and they still can not do it well .. People should be ashamed, as you .. can not stand the criticism and there is no improvement .. Oh yes! I first saw her in the tv broadcast of a wonderful opera/ballet gala from Winter Palace Square in St. Petersburg, filmed in May 2015 (and shown several times on Mezzo); she did a beautiful rendition of Dvorak's Song to the Moon. Wonderful singer, I saw her poetntial straight away and have been looking out for performances with her ever since.
I thought that Vienna public must have a reason not to stand during Handel's Hallelujah Chorus it is a custom all over the world just saying not trying to be rude, Merry Christmas!

Great concert. Too bad the sound from the soloists was not okay. They sounded as if they where singing in the next room, way too soft.

Oh yes! I first saw her in the tv broadcast of a wonderful opera/ballet gala from Winter Palace Square in St. Petersburg, filmed in May 2015 (and shown several times on Mezzo); she did a beautiful rendition of Dvorak's Song to the Moon. Wonderful singer, I saw her poetntial straight away and have been looking out for performances with her ever since.
