Written permission is granted to use the FH’s and WO’s to the company when the relevant companies has registered with the water authority, stanchion meters are distributed to them (they can and do come in varying colours depending on what colour scheme that water authority is using at the time). Whilst it would be illegal for an unregistered companies/individuals to draw from a WO and or a FH at any given time, and are for emergency service use, permission is regularly granted to companies to who register and has a metered stanchion pipe.

I had a good look into the Fire Hydrant thing, and if the hydrant is on public land, then FH is the responsibility of the Fire Service to maintain it, and only the Fire Service are allowed to use it unless the Water Authority have granted permission.
I'm actually not surprised that people/businesses act this way (defensively) or the opposite (totally unaware). You're turning up TELLING THEM what you're going to do All the while they're pants-down. Yes, you've got the law in your hands according to CAA, but they're not expected to know what you know, the same as you're not expected to know what / how they operate.

I thought it was well known that other people apart from the Fire Service could use hydrants. They will of course have a meter supplied by the water company.
Water undertakers can take from the water they supply you as a see fit. Towns mains are one supply so hydrant is a hydrant a wash out it designed if repairs have been carried out to clear air out of the systems

Dj , the blue tanker is what I used to operate called an aqua vac , it’s got high pressure suction and water jetting system and is usually used for cleaning drainage systems, here in Scotland you can use the hydrant’s as long as it’s a Scottish water issue for which the company pays an annual fee, the only hydrant you can’t use if it has a BLUE , H on it 👍

In US companies can contract with the city to use the hydrants. They need the high volume to fill up a truck like that
I do like your attitude mate, seriously. Better man than me, I'd be telling them to go a FO on a regular basis!
I hope they were told by the call operator that there was nothing the police can do.
It does irritate me when companies like this phone the police and they actually show up. To me that suggests that either the company has been dishonest about what has been happening, or there has been a triage failure by the police.
Keep up the great work!
Big-ears isn't the sharpest pencil in the box, is he?
What a frightened people we have become. We'll be to scared to go out for fear of catching a cold next... wait a minute.
If you see somebody taking water from a hydrant, and they're not one of our team members or a fire fighter, they may be using the hydrant without authorisation. Unauthorised users will use a variety of methods and different types of equipment to take water from a fire hydrant that they are accessing.
can you provide a link that shows this?
Hi D J, nine minutes in and the man you talk to thinks that you cannot fly your drone over the site because if there is a break in they will be after you, but cannot explain how to find you if that does happen. The next one actually confirms that you can't trespass with your drone over the site which is exactly what you are telling him, he is so excited that he cannot hear what he is saying!.
Cheers, Richard.
Dj u need to remember double yellows on a private property means absolutely FA its not like they would issue FPNs. The security probably just watch TV and DVDs. Good Audit as usual
The fact they he quickly wrapped up his hose when you started questioning, suggests he was up to no good.
At SIA goon school, there should be a section about teaching the goons proper legislation with respect to trespass, and about the limits of the jurisdiction they’re working on. (Ie. On the ground… not in the air)
I used to work for a huge horticulture operation in Australia and one day we noticed that the maintenance crew were placing adapters onto the massive water tanks. It was later found that they had unlawfully accessed the fire fighting water supply line which ran into the property and were using it to top up the tanks for free as it was not metered.
D.J. = Drone Justice!!! Your drone law education course offered to the various business owners and security (🤣) organizations will be your best legacy.
you reckon that DJ should send them an invoice for his tuition of these ignorant people? 😁👍😁
The company i work for extract water from fire hydrants but pay £500 per year per valve (which you use to attach to the hydrant). Thats what you have to do to stay legal.
@Brian Mooney Because he's not a real auditor, I mean what kind of daft twit doesn't know that in a fire alarm the magnetic locks and turnstiles would automatically disengage once the fire alarm is active
He invades the space, he paces around a workplace for hrs looking for a reaction, someone that doesn't like a camera pointed at them from some random person and he basically films their reactions.
You can see in some business people look out of the windows and tell him to stop filming them, he's a greifer, he hounds people trying to earn a living for reactions. Under the guise of audits. He has no idea.
You see minutes of reactions, that bloke is outside them business for hours looking for this content its not instantaneous.
The title alone is hysterical. You can't trespass over our building! haha
Non metered inch standpipe taps are paid for daily or at least that's how it worked acfewcyears ago with Anglian.
Gypsies use hydrants to fill up water containers for their use on site . The rest of us pay extortionate water rates for our water but they are a protected group and above the law.
Brilliant video, I’d love to see you do the Amazon warehouse in Allesely, Coventry! They seem very secretive there and don’t like if when a drone goes anywhere nearby
Comedy gold with perceived authority so he's going to blame you if anything happens but doesn't want your name what a numpty and the fact they lied to you does not put this company in a good light and the typical security guard also given orders which he as none not wearing is badge says a lot about this company shame on the lot of them
Love the drone footage of the country side amazing 👍
For anyone who doesn't know where Swadlincote is: It's at the bottom of the pond
Brummie Roy Orbison was funny
Just a quick bit of info for you mate, on an iphone you can’t use 141 in front of a number to hide your number, it doesn’t work.
You have to go into the settings then phone and turn off show my caller id.
Just a heads up.
It’s all ambiguous language from these man
Could be
Might be
Possibly
Can be
Live in fear still
Good on the man with the camera 👍
Wow did you wake the security guard up 🤣
Yet again I have learned something new, never knew that about hydrants. Beardy bloke was so rude. Old fellow was a right muppet.
I would be so tempted to buzz beardy bloke 🤣 I had to Google what stillages were.
I remember Fred Dibnah used to fill up his steam engine from the hydrants. He said he wasn't allowed but he cleaned the hydrants out by using them and was doing them a service.
DJ - do you get excited when you get a certain response and realize that you will be providing maximum entertainment? It is so generous of you to provide these risk assessments and advice free of charge.
Well it's like knocking on your front door and DJ saying "Sir I'm gonna be flying over your house" lol. Of course that's private but most folks don't know the difference and bug out 😉
@@dkayflowers79 It really isn't like knocking on your front door. That is a work place, they don't live there, their kids don't live there, their wives don't live there. it's a work place buddy
I've been wondering something similar (here in The Netherlands), I live on a canal and I regularly see these cleaning service vans pull water from the canal and I really wonder if that's legal. At the very least it's an undue nuisance to the public with the sound that pump makes and considering there are no residentials a hundred meters further down the road.
@@tehjejem Yeah I have since called the city and they told me to call them when it happens again. They do need to observe it personally though, a photo will not be enough. So while the pumping takes a good ten minutes, I'm not sure 'Handhaving' will ever get here on time to witness it, but I'll try :D
@@antimonycup7066 Let us know if you ever get any further with this please, sounds fun.
@@madduckuk Hasn't been happening the last two months, maybe it's a summer thing, but will do if it does, I promise :)
@@antimonycup7066 Thank you!
Deflate their tyres and they won't come back 😉
I used to announce myself when i wanted to fly my drone over a business I stopped doing that after the 3rd time I blindly got pepper sprayed and or tazed at the same time. Now people on-site get to guess where I am controlling the drone because I have stopped launching from the main gate.
Dear oh dear oh dear. Cheers DJ.
we used the hydrants on building sites all the time to fill up everything
DJ Causing mayhem, lol Those daft uneducated PLASTIC! Security CLOWNS, not a clue - MY FACTORY! in his Hi Viz Coat! Silly man - Great Drone shots, all those boxes you might nick! lol NO SHOW! From the police now there's a surprise! - Stay Safe DJ
I think in US they do own up so far that's why you can build up and not out go as high as you want building a dorma making house taller it's common
Not just bedwetters, Plastic Omnium bedwetters 👀🧐😎😜
Peace
DJ ... When land owners argue drone rules with you - you're rather put out because it's your daily goings on ... Hydro Vac chap tells you the rules HE KNOWS because they're part of his daily goings on, and look at you ... Trying to correct him 🤣🤣🤣
I was in the security bi's for 4 years .
6.20,did you wake that security guard up DJ
I had a good look into the Fire Hydrant thing, and if the hydrant is on public land, then FH is the responsibility of the Fire Service to maintain it, and only the Fire Service are allowed to use it unless the Water Authority have granted permission.
I'm actually not surprised that people/businesses act this way (defensively) or the opposite (totally unaware).
You're turning up
TELLING THEM what you're going to do
All the while they're pants-down.
Yes, you've got the law in your hands according to CAA, but they're not expected to know what you know, the same as you're not expected to know what / how they operate.
Let’s not kid the kid who kids the kids, you warn the security your flying your drone of MTOM of 250 grams so they can react. That’s fine as your video,s are better when they do. Sections of CAP722 can be printed off as a handout from the CAA website. Geeksvana drone channel has also produced handouts. Once you have had your chat you could give them a handout. David is the star of your channel lol. Keep up the good work AAA+++
Yet more evidence of what happens when some people are issued " Lanyard of Self Importance!" 😆
It's obvious that drone usage is very new and not a lot of people understand the legal side of it, but when you argue without knowing the facts you just look stupid, even more so when someone trys to explain and you don't listen
You should report them for allowing having other companies use the fire hydrant on their contracted time as not to get billed for the water usage
Drones in the air. Drones on the ground.
Speccy was getting very excited wasn't he ?
Dj , the blue tanker is what I used to operate called an aqua vac , it’s got high pressure suction and water jetting system and is usually used for cleaning drainage systems, here in Scotland you can use the hydrant’s as long as it’s a Scottish water issue for which the company pays an annual fee, the only hydrant you can’t use if it has a BLUE , H on it 👍
Sorry meant to say a Scottish water stand pipe one inch standard
