Bishop Carlton Pierson was truly a man who sincerely loved the Lord and his fellow man/woman. He really touched my life and I thank God that I was blessed to see him, worship with him, and just take in and be affected by his intoxicating presence. He will definitely be missed.

Saw him when I was 21 singing on TV in late 90s advertising the VHS Live at Azusa one night. Bought it, loved it, caught back up with him in the 2000's after Facebook. He was a beautiful & inclusive human being. I was drawn to his energy back then, and it still is ever so strong. My thoughts & condolences are with his family at this time. Righteousness aside nobody is qualified, nobody is holier than to judge bishop. He brought ministry excellence to a new level. Many folks that weren’t around don’t know that gospel music was poorly produced before this era. The black church was almost nonexistent on tv. Saw him when I was 21 singing on TV in late 90s advertising the VHS Live at Azusa one night. Bought it, loved it, caught back up with him in the 2000's after Facebook. He was a beautiful & inclusive human being. I was drawn to his energy back then, and it still is ever so strong. My thoughts & condolences are with his family at this time. CDP thank you for showing the unconditional love to the marginalized, it will never be forgotten. Your presence will be truly missed. May you rest easy. ❤❤

Some Christians believed bishop derailed from the core doctrine of bible, which is hell . God burning his venerable children in lakes of fire for eternity, because his children disobeyed his commandments, like do not lie, do not murder, don’t covet , don’t be prideful etc.Hell is not the core message of the Gospel. The message of the Gospel were, “ Good News.” But some twisted theologians misinterpreted the Gospel of Good News of Jesus Christ. Thank you bishop for saving Christian America that had been dying because of the notion of God burning his children in lake fire for eternity. Who will continually worship a God of cruelty and punishment? Who will worship , a God ,who continually put you in a state of uncertainty, fear , anxiety what Your destination would be , after you die? That is insidious reason as to why Americans churches had been emptying for quite some time, until bishop Carlson begins to preach the Gospel without the threatening, scary, burning in hell fire for eternity. Thank You for compiling this. Carlton Pearson was an incredible talented and spiritually gifted being. I was at every one of these meetings. The music and ministry was always impeccable. He brought ministry excellence to a new level. Many folks that weren’t around don’t know that gospel music was poorly produced before this era. The black church was almost nonexistent on tv. Bishop Pearson used the Oral Roberts University media machine to produce the powerful Azusa experience.
