Wow she handled the question about Britney SO WONDERFULLY, with class, elegance and genuinely. She lives so above those trashy conversations now. She's so well spoken. The question was unnecessary, but she was great.
I agree, she did a great job and you can see she was sincere. She genuinely respects Britney and proved it with the wonderful letter she wrote to her prior what happened weeks ago. She's handling it really good but I don't understand it too...like everyone knows they aren't in touch with each other for a lifetime now so why the questions? It's stupid tbh
Britney and Christina will always be connected. Not only did they grew up together. But earlier in their respective careers, they were designed as rivals (narrative-wise) and the media will always focus on that dynamic to get clicks and views.
Because the media loves drama. She worked with Britney for only 1.5 years when they were 11 and 12 years old. They weren't great friends. They just came up together and the media always put them against each other and connected their names together, yet they don't talk, completely different styles / personalities and just not friends. Probably a little jealously from Xtina given she had such a great voice and Britney didn't yet Britney got all the attention. But Xtina has matured nicely, so much better than Britney only because britney has been so controlled and so much taken from her and no one around her to really trust, so she's been in a bubble, while Xtina has grown up as a woman, entertainer, and mom. I love them both, but they aren't friends, they don't chat or talk. Britney never showed jealously or hate, but these days she's so angry and hurt that I was surprised she recently said something negative towards Xtina when that night was about Christina and it wasn't her fault the media constantly asks her about a person she doesn't talk to and has no involvement in the conservatorship. It's unfortunate people in power didn't come together to help her, but I really don't think people understood what hell she was under, how much abuse she went through with her kids being taken away and held over her head so she could make money for others. Glad Xtina is doing well and hope her new music does well.
So pathetic. STOP ASKING HER ABOUT BRITNEY. Britney is the biggest flop there is. She never had any talent. Just money and hype 🙄 Christina always stands on her own as the voice of an entire generation!

I personally feel that she shouldn't have to apologize for anything related to Britney Spears. She didn't do anything. When she spoke out on her in June 2020, no one gave her praise for doing that but her publicist said something at an event that clearly had nothing to do with Britney's issues and everyone wants to fall apart. She clearly doesn't hate Britney, and it's funny how everyone is saying Christina is jealous or she wants to be Britney, but my question is WHY? She is a talented artist in her own right. She allows her music to speak for itself. She doesn't have a career that rides the waves of publicity like so many celebrities do. If they don't have the media, then they would be nothing. Prime example would be the Kardashians. If people weren't so focused on what they eat and poop no one would care about the Kardashians. I'm so proud to be a Christina fan because SHE doesn't need people to validate who she is. She does what she wants and is in control of her career. She found who she is, and it's not her fault Britney lost herself. Long story short, I think people are mostly upset BECAUSE people in the past described her as the "the Britney that gave it up" meaning sex and they expected her to flop eventually but she hasn't and that's what pisses people off. I am happy Britney finally has her freedom, but it's still her own fault. Let's name a few people who have been under the scrutiny of a male dominate industry, Mariah Carey, Jessica Simpson, Halle Berry, Lil Kim, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Tinasha, Whitney Houston, Donna Summer, Aretha Franklin, Patti Labelle, Madonna, Cher and so many more and oh look...they somehow lived their best lives. So to say that Britney was a simple poor little victim only shows that America still has this weak damsel in distress towards Britney, and that's sad she was never allowed herself to grow. In closing, these are two independent women with two totally different talents and abilities, and tbh, I'm 100 % sure Christina Aguilera would still create music whether you people listed or not, and you know why? Because she is authentic and she loves what she does, and she is awesome. She worked hard to be where she is today because look at her past. When you basically have everything in life, one is blinded by what it means to appreciate where you came from.

It’s so uncalled for the amount of negativity she’s gotten from even Britney herself and I truly felt that wasn’t right. Personally, I’m glad it was addressed in the interview but its really not necessary. Xtina has meant a lot to me since I was a little girl and I’m proud to be a fan of her music but also her overall personality. I think part of who I am today is because I learned from her how to own your own shit and to rebel against the mold even if other people don’t like it.

It really irks me when interviewers continue to just sneak in that question about Britney during an interview that has to do with Christina's current work. It always feels as though they're trying to ask that question to get a sound bite or to get a response or piece of a quote that they can miss use to then cause drama in the media. And it's a pity too because the interview was going so great and then he veered off topic with that question. I don't understand the obsession with asking her about Britney all the time. That time in their lives has passed. At this point she doesn't know any more about Britney situation then the general public and as she said, that's why she's been so careful to not speak out of turn. I wish the media would just stop it, for both their sakes. It's more than time.
