My question is, HOW does one study? You get your notes out, but what do you do then? How do you “study” your notes to memorize them? That’s what i need.
@@akaza3126 it depends on how well u know the content! If you are starting from scratch, I would review the notes and resources the teacher grades and then do practice exams. But if already know it generally well, do practice problems or test your memory using flashcards!
People seem to overlook this, but learn if you are a linear or non-linear type of learner. Linear learners are able to read through sections easily and comprehend information locally. Non-linear learners tend to not do that. For me, when I read, I ask lots of questions and want to hyperfixate on a certain topic. This leads me down a rabbit hole on how everything connects. In turn, I have to backtrack to the original reading I have to finish and repeat this process. It's very tiring trying to organize all your thoughts and questions in a linear manner if your thought process is always off the rails. I often use note taking apps like Obsidian now instead of notability because I am able to connect my thoughts and form a "mind map" of sorts. Even though topics can be mentioned multiple times, I view that same topic differently depending on what the context is. Such as V/Q mismatch from PE vs. CHF.
that's a really good point! I haven't really looked into linear or non-linear type of learner, but now that you explain it, I think I might be a non-linear learner too! thanks for the tip!
