    Omg this was happening to my new Neon Robusta for the past couple days and I kept thinking that I misted the air around it too much and it was condensation! Thanks so much for this info!

    Thank you for this video ; Ive noticed guttation on 5 of my spider plants this morning for the first time (only 3 plants didnt) ; btw I had to make some researches in the internet cause I didnt know what was goingon! Usually I dont water much my plants but yesterday I watered them more than usual for many reasons..anyway! And during the night the humidity level was very high, 100% actually ; now I understand that these plants have been overwatered, which is dangerous ; thanks to the high humidity level I could see it ; Im gonna try to give some oxygene to the roots by using something to make circular motions in the soil ; its the first time I see my lovely plants..crying !

    Thanks. Nicely edited and informative. I’m sure you were very busy with the move prep but please dust your plant leaves. So important in the autumn/winter when light levels are low

      hahaha, yeah after I filmed this I promptly dusted them all. I had no clue they were so bad!

    I can honestly say that this has never happened to me. Maybe bc I am an under warter and tend to wait until my plants are dry or nearly dry. But thanks to your video if this ever happens and I notice it I won’t panic!

      Teach me your underwatering ways! lol. Every time I water it’s like tsunami season.

      @@michaeljohnhalse lol! I typically only water about every two weeks then I slowly water. Sometimes the water will run out fast so I will come back later and water more after the soil has absorbed some of the first water. My snake plants and other succulents I rarely water. My aloe plant is about 2 1/2 foot tall and is only about 1 1/2 year old and constantly gives me pups. I give it about 3/4 cup of water every month or two. My air plants gets misted every couple days and twice a month they get soaked and turned upside down until they are dried well. My Hoyas I treat as any succulent and water once every couple weeks lol
      Basically I ignore them lol once they droop just a little I water. If I am ever unsure I use a moisture meter.
      When I buy a plant I try to buy one that I don’t have to put in a terrarium bc I don’t have time for that and really don’t have space for them.
      You have been to South Carolina and know how humid it is. I live in North Carolina and we have the same humidity.
      Most of my plants are in a cactus soil and I add extra perlite in them. Except for my pothos and Chinese evergreens they just get regular potting soil with extra perlite. I don’t baby my plants so to speak
      Did I mention I basically ignore them lol

    • @michaeljohnhalse
      @michaeljohnhalse  3 года назад

      hahaha. I need to start ignoring mine. I pine over mine. they all probably hate me, but every day In like, “HOW ARE YOU DOING? NEW LEAF? I TOUCH YOU? WANT WATER?”

    • @bobbiroberts6788
      @bobbiroberts6788 3 года назад

      I do talk to them every morning I say good morning every evening I say good night. Several times a day I tell the cat no bc she goes toward them or is eyeing them and I tell the plants not to worry I will protect them from the cat that wants to eat them. Otherwise I ignore them as far as water until they tell me lol

    My Monstera does this every time i water. I water in the morning when the chopstick is completely dry. It does it for a day or two. Does that mean theres a problem with my soil? Cus i only water when fully dry? I have it in a chunky mix with perlite and orchid bark. Maybe its not Chunky enough?
