- This is a dramatic video of a small dog being washed off the face of the cliff by a huge wave at China Walls in Oahu, Hawaii, then rescued by it's owner.

I just met the dog and owner a few minutes ago at Sandy’s, that dog is soooo cute lol the owner told me to google this video 😂

Not rescued by its owner as reported earlier on the news but by a good "swimarathan" who was already in the water.

DK Rock Don No, I saw it on the news. And oops, "swimarathan" should be "swimaritan" as the news also commented.
But looks like the dog knew him!! The dog was on his way to the rocks and came back, probably, when the guy called him :-/

+stockjonebills I didn't mention it during the Inside Edition interview, but Jerry the Dog puked up all the lunch scraps that we gave him just after he was handed up to his owner. Blow is the Inside Edition version. Love how they really pasted on all the extra drama!

Owner's a hero to risk his next like that! Should keep the animal on a leash.
+A Olsson Come to realize after the fact, is that the owner is who was handed Jerry the Dog, and didn't realize Jerry was a step down on the cliff. The guy who saved Jerry was a friend of Jerry and his owner. All three lived in the neighborhood there at China Walls and are there almost every day for sunset. Jerry has jumped off the ledge at China Walls many times in the past, but this time...Jerry was caught off guard because he wasn't paying attention to the waves. The video captures the moment when he realizes that he's in BIG trouble! This is the lesson to realize at China Walls and other similar places. That wave came out of nowhere as we were there 30 minutes prior with nothing before of after this rouge double wave that almost washed Jerry off to Never Never Land! What happened to Jerry, happens to people all the time at China Walls where major injuries and death happen on a weekly basis.

+Lv4music1 That was my drone and it was perfect timing! And it was not by 'chance' that I was there and captured this video. This video brought a lot of awareness to this dangerous area known as China Walls and Spitting Caves, which is just a few feet around the corner from where the wave came from. A friend of mine died at Spitting Caves 3 years ago. Hawaii News Now had a reporter on scene out there at China Walls for their 5 and 6pm new broadcasts the day I brought the original video footage to them. They talked about the dangers of China Walls and how people get washed off the cliff just like Jerry the Dog did. This video could have very well saved someones life or saved many lives, but since people who live don't make the news, I guess we'll never know!
