Cool review, thanks! But you can export drums pattern to your DAW. From ReDrum, from Dr.Rex... You just should find the note badge in the left corner of instrument and drag the pattern to selected track in your DAW.
Great video, Thx. I don't understand why they did away with rewire completely in Reason 11. Why not keep it as an option? I've been working on a project in Reason 11 stand alone and decided I wanted to quickly add some vocals using Logic while still being able to edit the beat which is sequenced in Reason. I was disappointed to learn I could not simply ReWire to an Aux>. How can I play the beat into Logic without having to bounce it from Reason continuously every time I want to mix and arrange it?
If you have Reason 10, you should be able to open your beat and use rewire,just like I show in the video. If you only have Reason 11, I'm not sure what you can do.
I’m considering upgrading to reason 11. The only thing holding me back is if there’s no rewire option. How does one make use of previous projects made in a rewire season?? You made reference to having to save a reason file by the same name as your studio one file when using rewire. Which is the same way I operate using Logic, but will I still be able to open those Logic sessions and have reason 11 operate the same as my previous version of reason or will those sounds just not work anymore since you can’t rewire reason 11??
I believe you would have to keep reason 10 for your old sessions. I will check it out, I am in the middle of moving out of state so it my a while until my new studio space is ready. Thanks for checking out my video.
i use logic x and reason 10 in rewire mode on mac os catalina .. having re-wire host engine issues from reason all of a sudden. old tracks that i made still work but now if i try and add more than 2-3 reason instruments .. system just crashes. My mac has 54g ram and quad core i7 processors so its not power/cpu.. issue can you help
candidate Salmon sorry to hear that. Unfortunately, I will not upgrade my Mac to Catalina due to many issues with all audio apps. I am not sure if it is an Apple issue or Reason issue. I would guess it is an Apple problem. I switched my main Rig to a PC for all the issues with Apple products. Sorry I could not be more helpful. Good luck.
for me the answer is both, i need the rewire to build a real track in studio one, and i need the rack to do some shit in other Daw like Fl. but something i hate in Rack reason is why we cant use all other synth we have, only reason synth in the rack??? why.
I just tried this and it is working here Reason 10.4 and cubase 10.5. Did you go into the studio menu in cubase then to rewire and enable the reason tab. Then reason will be available for use inside of cubase, Let me know if this works. If you are on a mac I am afraid I can't help you.
here's why beat makers have screwed over reason... BY THINKING ITS ALL ABOUT SNATCHING SOUNDS!!! Reason uses a MACKIE board... YOUR STUPID STUDIO ONE will never get the quality output that Reason can. THATS the problem..
guys its a vst however you can add different instances of the rack as individual tracks making it even more powerful than rewire.

I've always found Rewire to be so clunky in Reaper. Trying to decide if paying £100 to upgrade to 11 from 10 is worth it to get plugins on each track
I think the upgrade is worth it now that we have the new update. I am making a follow up video showing this.
