A day in a life of an English teacher in China follows Helen on her journey to work. Helen has been teaching English in China for over 3 years in Shanghai.
Like most teachers in China, Helen has settled into regular teaching schedule, enjoys eating local food on the way to work and uses public transport.
However, as an English teacher in China, no two days are the same. Each day is an opportunity to teach a new class, share new experiences and even enjoy some time with friends after work.

Amazing! Loved the amount of information Helen mentioned! Thank you Helen and EF!
She is enchanting. What a lovely presence.
So detailed and informative; I love getting to see exactly what happens in a day of teaching at EF! Hoping the borders open soon so I can start teaching with you guys.
@@AdamCharltonsVideos you can apply for a PU letter to get into the country, but where I live right now I can’t move with my current visa. I’m going to keep trying, but the border restrictions will probably ease up as vaccination rates rise and cases go down on either side.
don't make china another usa - it's evil
u have u r country let chinese have china
colonialism globlism fail
So cute and it seems like she has a well balanced life not having to work the entire day like most corporate jobs!
Thank u!
Very informative!
Nice one! Interesting way of visual learning that gives me hope for greater achievements
HI. Thanks for sharing.
Ef English

Are EF still running the after school programs since the new regulations began in August 2021?
Ef English Frist
Good
I was doing part time with EF in Henan Zhengzhou. I totally miss having fun with the kids. I just can't leave my current employer because l have lots of free time on my hands. EF is a great place to be all the same.
@Molly Laoshi how did you go about it?
@@maureenn8398 I came to China in 2017. I got a job on Dave's ESL Cafe
I work in a university. I was recruited from SA
@@ZimcrimesChannel¿what's SA?

Helen is a classy lady
Can you get work visa by teaching at EF?
Good video. I teach in Thailand at a private school. Her lonely cat needs a play friend.
The recent news I read was that foreigners can no longer provide tuition in China. I wonder how are things over there.
I have so many questions! I'm an ABC too but I was rejected due to my "Asianess" at EF, so how did you land the job?? And also, how has the double reduction policy affected EF and your employment?
why didn't you morons sue EF for discrimination? such things are not allowed!
Im kinda in the same scenario. Have you been successful in landing a job?
Wow... so they want a teacher that isn't East Asian?
Is there any specific websites/contacts that are here on the web where I can find a job teaching English in China without a degree. I have my heart set on moving to China but every job I see advertised requires a Bachelors Degree and I don't have that, Any help/advice would be most appreciated.
Unfortunately, a Bachelor's Degree is the minimum requirement for the obtaining of an E-2 Visa, which you would need to legally work in China.
💯
EF have already closed down in China for all offline courses
isn't that a scam news to scam parents?
I'm surprised. This is not the image of China I formed from my Chinese friends and vloggers. It does not seem chaotic at all. The general impression is that it's not somewhere people over 40 would wish to live.
Thats because you're a victim of the western education system and its media
casual propaganda lol
she was left alone during filming...clearly the chaos was hid for this film project...no chinese schools are this calm and organized...it was a show
China is big. Many places are good for people over 40… and this is a English tuition school not the normal primary school
I need instagram of Helen, for research purposes
It is not education first its drugs first. This organisation has a huge problem with drugs especially in Shanghai
Why are tattoos not allowed to show?
So sad for the cat to live in a tiny space where he can't really exercise much...
your English still have a hint of Chinese accent. are you an English native speaker ?
you don't know what you're talking about
She doesnt look like a Canadian.. 😎
she left her moose back home
Asian parents. Be sensible.
