Riot is known for putting great CGI quality works during WORLD'S but most of these people don't know that because this person is judging with a perspective of a kpop fan and someone who probably don't know how RIOT world performances work. They overlooked how great the CGI was, the characters were singing and rapping, the shadow reflecting on the floor (THAT'S CGI and that proves how well thought out the stage was). ITS NOT ABOUT HOW HARD OR EASY THE CHOREOGRAPHY IS. ITS ABOUT BEING COMFORTABLE AND CONFIDENT ABOUT THE FACT YOU'RE GOING TO DANCE KNOWING YOU HAVE NO BACKGROUND IN IT INFRONT OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE AND MILLIONS ATCHING VIA STREAM.
They had clearly simplified the choreography a whole lot cause Jaira and Madison aren’t dancers (or weren’t, not sure about them now). It made sense, but yeah it didn’t look that great lmao

The Kd/a performance for Pop Stars was really a different case. Maddison Beer and Jaira didn't train for years dancing and performing like the girls of Gidle. They're just singers and they never dance, so it entirely isn't their fault that the performance was lacking. At least they sang well.
I mean the choreo wasn't that hard. And they did show a good performance. I mean stage presence is very important here and that was there

Tbh I don't blame Riot for that. Taking animations to this level is HARD. As for the girls... No hate to Madison, but she was just... there. Like, no effort, no enthusiasm. Jaira was at least trying, she was having fun and enjoying herself, she was trying with the choreo. Gidle, ofc, did waay better because they have experience with singing+dancing and my guess is they really rehearsed (can't say the same for Madison). Also, Soyeon's charisma is unmatched and Miyeon slayed this performance, girl ate and left no crumbs. In conclusion: Korean and American artists are really different in terms of preparation for the stage. Maybe if the girls have met a few times prior to the performance, rehearsed together the choreo in the studio and on the stage, their energy as a group would be unmatched.
