    I enjoy your content so much I’m
    Not even in technical school yet and I already have an Amazon wish list and a list of stuff from true Tech that I would like to get. I think your tool loadouts are great especially that classic veto backpack

    Tekmar makes a great wireless thermostat as well. Model number 564 I believe. Works if you have two un-compromised conductors in your existing wire to power the remote thermostat. Great user interface, too.

    Kinda funny that I just left a low volt short. Ended up being the high limit grounded to the cabinet. Nice work

    Been to Riverfront a bunch, last year they replaced the roof and pinched several refrigerant lines trying to move the condensers around.

    I actually had a low voltage issue just this week. The auxiliary contactor for the heat strips had a bad coil and was breaking the 24 to the thermostat every time it tried to press in. It was a pain to find... 🙄

    I don't know anything about Aprilaire stats but Redlink thermostats are like other Honeywell (now Resideo) products, well made and reliable. Maybe the models on the shelf at your supply house were limited but I can't believe that a Redlink thermostat wouldn't be available for whatever characteristics that system has.
    Not that it matters but I have two Redlink thermostats of the 8000-series variety and they, two equipment interface modules and the internet gateway have been rock-solid for 6 years since being installed.

    Could have ditched the red link for the Honeywell you wanted with WiFi. Mounted the stat in the air handler room and used the 2 wire you had available for a zone sensor in the space.
    6 one way or half a dozen the other. Just a thought. Great video.

    Oh geez , just watching your videos and didn’t know you reside in Nashville , I can tell by the Batman building lol. But anyways I am starting HVAC trade school soon at the TCAT in Murfreesboro and I’m really looking into doing this as a career . Any tips on a beginner like me when I enter the field . Thanks !

    I've had a few Trane/AS air handler heat strip contactors burn up coils recently. They are using inferior parts nowadays. The older heat strip kits used bombproof relays that seldom went bad. I'm also seeing a lot of condenser contactors shorting out. It's too bad that they use crap parts and continue to raise equipment prices. Guess you just gotta roll with it...

    Honey prestige IAQ with router. Hook it up inside utility room. Wireless indoor room sensor in place of thermostat to control temperature. Boom, no wires

    I’m a HVAC contractor staring a new business in Florida. I am very familiar with service titan and Quickbooks. Was wondering you recommended using service titan for a small HVAC business or what software do you use or recommend? Thanks

    • @dgapp76
      @dgapp76 Год назад

      Service Titan is pretty awesome but expensive. Unless you have a need to track inventory then I would try Housecall Pro. It has its quirks but is a pretty solid and affordable software for billing, scheduling, dispatching and even has customer financing available.

    Not true you can use a honeywell system that only uses 2 wires that goes to the thermostat and then an equipment module it also gives you supply and return sensors and outdoor stat just a little pricey

    I recognized that Trane unit. I just installed an identical split system. I was very disappointed in the quality of the A- cabinet structural integrity. Very cheap framing and their quality has gone down.

      About the worst video you have ever done. You showed a tstat, a controller, and some low voltage wiring. Not the procedure to hook them up or connect to the internet. Not very useful for someone who wants to learn something.

    I'm just guessing that perhaps pulling some new t-stat wire would have been a lot quicker and easier than going to the store finding the right one going through the manuals setting it all up. Why not just pull new tstat wire?

    • @randallaltman1724
      @randallaltman1724 Год назад

      Most likely can’t due to the structure and the way the current wire is ran, I use Honeywells wireless kit every time and never have to run new wire
