Another great video. I love the watch, and I really appreciate the humor in the desk diver name. I started wearing dive watches when I was in the military. I wanted watches that wouldn't break, and dive watches fit the requirement. Thank you Lucy, always wonderful to see another video.
Thank you so much! Ahhhh so you wear dive watches for their actual use! 😂They're tough things so I'm glad there are some people out there utilising the specs!
I had no idea about the +/- and power reserve! I wouldn’t expect those numbers from CW with the watches that are currently out. Are you getting the Twelve X?! 😍
Great video Lucy,i love the CW Brand,a have a couple, been waiting for this new model, its certainly different, all credit to CW for trying something different, will it be on my shopping list, maybe not.
Thanks so much! It is definitely different but I appreciate that they can go from solid, tool/dive watches, to creating unique, innovative pieces, and then they can still have fun with watches like this! Such range!
I used to be a big fan of Seconde/Seconde. I loved the collaborations he did where he put 8-bit pixelated hands on the Watches like the ghost on the Louis Erard La Petite Seconde Louis Horror, the cricket bat on the Excelsior Park Out of the Park, the eraser on the H. Moser & Cie Endeavour Concept Watch. One of my favourite Seconde/Seconde collabs was the Isotope Hydrium with the heartbeat that stopped on the second hand and the writing Otopsie (autopsy) on the dial. Most Watches like the Timex Q collab to the Bamford collab had some sort of novelty hand on the Watch which to me sort of became the Seconde/Seconde signature. I know that on Watches like the Airain Type XX, the Spinnaker 50 Phantoms and the Frederique Constant Slimline Moonphase hands were not the main feature but, there seemed to be a lot of standout design in those Watches. This CW collab for me seems very lazy. No quirky hands. Just ‘The Desk Diver’ printed on the dial. You really have to then look more closely to see the features that have been printed onto the bezel. Far too subtle for Seconde/Seconde in my opinion. Verging on lazy in fact. I find the design very disappointing. I asked a few friends what they thought about it and one said that he loved it. When I asked him why he said “just how f*ckin’ stupid it is” which made me laugh. The funny part for me is that somewhere, sometime, they had a meeting where this idea came up and enough people thought it was good to go forward with it. Better luck next time I guess! Anyway, appreciate your take on it Lucy. Nice video ✊
His work is identifiable for sure. No one does it like he does. I totally appreciate your comment about the effort. Maybe a unique hand would have made it more of a SS watch for you? I'm with your friend though - It's a functional watch that's just a little bit ridiculous! And I'm here for that 😅 I feel I review a lot of watches that might not be everyones cup of tea, but that's something I love. It creates a space for so many different personal opinions and I enjoy hearing them! Thanks so much for watching and for letting me know your thoughts 😊
Elevated Swatch maybe? 😂 V2 could be a a winner tbh. I might be able to relate more! haha Maybe a minute repeater where the noise is my cat calling for food!
@@SoCalWatchReviews Well okay then! haha I'll take that. They are pumping out a lot of new watches this year so and I've seemed to have enjoyed a lot of them! I'm at least honest about being a fan 😂

I like the fun bezel markings but not the post-it note on the dial. They could've put that on the caseback.

🙂Took me a second to figure out what you were talking about!
She's the greek version of the headless horseman, 🤣
It's giving off Swatch vibes ..... V2 will be a 'Desk Diving From Home' edition?

This seems to have become the Christopher Ward Channel. 🤩
Wait...is that a good thing or a bad thing? 🙈😂

Just a bit too arch and ironic for me. Al least it's a new watch.
Totally fair! It's another "not for everyone" watch. I seem to like those 😂
When’s your next ladies live chat, Lucy? Have a great weekend.
Ps. Sorry, but the whole desk diver take from CW is naff.
Soon! Got a topic you'd like me to cover?
Haha that's totally okay! It won't be for everyone! 😂
@@TheWatchBoxDiariesjust like the banter mate tbh, no matter the topic 👍🏻
