Because the crank pulley is big in comparison, even a slight difference to the small one is a considerable change in ratio

Tommy 3v if you don’t modify the fueling and timing tables you’re leaving power behind. That’s why they tune. To optimize the engine for the DA temps and fuel for real life instead of a blanket factory tune.
Leland Holton no no no, when you add a smaller diameter pully the supercharger spins slower, thus allowing more timing seconds to enter the intake manifold. If you try adjusting the injector duty cycle the timing seconds density increases and you can hydrolock the valve springs. Trust me bro, i took Automotive in Community College

As cool as these 10 speeds are I really hope they don't kill manuals :( it might be faster but I still prefer """""imo""""" to row my own. It's just so satisfying hitting perfect rev matches, holding gears, and doing 100mph burnouts LOL

How reliable are these performance mods when you factor in daily driveability with the occasional track day?
Lol first lesson I learned was to buy a daily get a warranty and don’t touch it having a built/modded car and reliability dosent go hand and hand most times

Those 10spd trans are a game changer...will be even better on cars with lower hp to keep her in the sweet spot of the hp and tq curve while allowing us to run low gear ratio out back for best fuel economy and crazy top speed.
Get rid of the 6 spd where 6th gear is a wasted overdrive gear for the highway.

Does the blower have to come off to change the upper pulley? What's the advantage to changing the upper pulley vs crank pulley? Thanks.

I know this was 2 yrs ago but just got my ZL1. They were more than likely in snow and rain mode when they did the initial pull. Its aprox 80% of the power so it makes sense. everyone is correct when they say its 560 to 570hp stock

How much money does that little mod cost? Pullie plus cold air intake plus the cost to have it tuned and dyno equal a good chunk of money.

Just bought a 2016 SS and slapped a P1SC1 Procharger on it, made 500/494 on a mustang dyno. These cars are amazing.
7K for the blower. Installed in 4 hours, then another 650 for tune. No other mods whatsoever.
Planning on Smaller Pulley, LTHeaders, Secondary cat deletes and Ethanol next month.
Procharger provides an amazing step by step guide with their systems. However professional install may provide you peace of mind. It's time consuming more than difficult.

Daniel Elson well, nobody I know that's a master mechanic will make me a scooter, preferably an old 70's model that sat on my grandparents patio untouched for my whole life, a turbo, maybe nitrous, manual, suicide shifter on the right, bicycle brake lever throttle on left instead of twist like normal dirtbikes, or a foot peddle, and a clutch peddle for sure on the left, I guess a disc brake on front (never thought about that till now, but normally think who needs breaks, less parts less weight) so a tire warm up burn out can be done, 90mph gas scooter... If there's a tire rated for that speed. Those who I ask tell me it's not possible till I go to them and say I found video evidence that it is tell me that it is but won't do it for me cause I'd get myself killed with something like that... I must not know the right people 😞... I hate driving auto trannys, and always prefer a seat belt and roll cage, but a scooter like that to raise hell on is like my dream

Test pipe and tune almost guarantees you more power. Better for the engine too.

to swap pulleys do you have to totally remove the supercharger and can you remove the front drive assembly and press on the new one?

Tuning will definitely void a camaros warranty and as far as i know it void Warranty for every car brand

It come from the factory 575-580.
Now are those numbers @ the crank or rear wheels? Most #'s from the Steelers are from the crank, not rwhp.

650 over 520 is 1.25, i would expect about 17% for this car
Alex Thompson 25% loss with automatic transmission is normal, manual transmission is usually 15% drive train power loss.
Most modern autos lose nowhere near 25%.
Alex Thompson That’s not how you do it, that actually gives you a number a little higher than it should be. You should take (crank-wheel)/wheel... That gives you about a 21% loss on this car
Does the after market pulley void warranty
Any overheating problems with the smaller pulley? I daily mine and want to do a 2.30” upper but not interested if it’s gonna lose power due to heat soak.

Good torque that is what moves the car. 639 ft lbs torque awesome. Torque Monster!
These cars can waste about 95% of the cars you might see on the daily. You add these 2 mods and you can have daily driveability and kill like 99% of what you might see on the average road.
