I started watching some Whitney clips after she passed. It's sad that she's gone so soon. You could see how much she adores her daughter. Even when her voice wasn't what it used to be she can still sing and move around and dance. Too many artists today give a good performance but can't sing. They lip sing in order to dance. May you be in the arms of the Father and rest now. I'll be sending out prayers for your family, especially your daughter as she goes through this tough road.
Her stage presence can never be surpassed by anyone. May it be saying just hi to fans, introducing someone, presenting/ accepting an award or belting out songs.
you have to appreciate , when it gets to the stage you cannot sing the song anymore and having the stage presence that just singing the opening verses and dancing too it can set the crowd wild, shows what a legend you are . There are much better performances and this was an merely off day, however I just love the way just dancing to it was enough to make you want to watch the performance and few can do that, I think the fact she wasn't pretending to mime it helped and simply jamming to her own song , while the backing singers and tracks played, she didn't need to prove herself by singing or fake it by miming anymore - few can pull that off and retain respect.

She just had a bad day here with her voice. She still sang live, which I think is a positive thing, because no matter what Whitney Houston gave everything that she had, when she went on the stage. She was a great performer and she had a positive spirit. :)

She was just on the X Factor in the UK and was VERY wierd. She walked awkwardly, her dress broke, and when interviewed her eyes were distracted, and she couldn't concentrate on the questions asked. Perhaps it would have been better if she performed in the morning ........... before she needed to calm her nerves.
I thought her GMA performance was pretty cool. I'll admit that she could have performed "I Look To You" better. But I loved the emotion from that performance. And I seriously can't believe that people are saying that she blamed Oprah for her voice messing up. All Whitney said was "I did a 3hr interview with Oprah. And it got emotional". I can't help but notice that 'The Voice' is absent. The backing singers are doing most of the singing. I realise she is 'in the moment' and wants the crowd to join in but this was her big comeback and she needs to get her voice back in order because when it's not 'tired' it's one of the best voices in the world EVER. At the moment she sounds like mary J blige.
Of course her voice is not the same. It will never be.... I love the raspiness of it now though.... If she could hold her notes now (like she does on the actual album) in live performances she would be able to take on another image. Her voice is still quality but she is gonna need some more training to get it back to at least the 2002 days.... I love the CD though... it's fresh and it's Whitney....
