Bill Maher and Harvey Levin randomly riff on the Alec Baldwin case, Harvey’s 9-11 documentary (there was an extra plane), the generational differences at TMZ, when Harvey’s staff realized that he’s older than chips, the concept from Real Time of the national divorce, and Harvey’s heartbreaking, never-before-told story about why Cher is his favorite celebrity.

    C. 1992 I worked at a messenger service that did court filings, and we rec'd calls 24/7 from atty's, including Harvey, to pick up filings. Like at 11pm on Saturday night at home, a time that only Harvey apologized for calling at, sending pizzas and bagels to us for doing so. There were three of us girls who took the calls (we were 18-19 yrs old) and on Valentine's Day and our birthdays he sent us yellow roses and candy. Just to be nice. Very professional. Best wishes Harvey, long live Levin!

Harvey was talking about his generation's attitude to the "Greatest Generation" that fought WWII and got us involved in Vietnam. Yeah, that was awesome. One of the weird things about the last decade is that so many people can't seem to do anything without blogging about it - or doing it on tik-tok or other public display. She just did it as one human being to another.

She and a few others (Joan Rivers, Elizabeth Taylor and a few others) were pretty well-informed about AIDS through medical pros and not what what the media was putting out there. What I'm surprised Harvey didn't talk about is how many same sex partners at the time were blocked from seeing their partners in hospice (or the ER), were screwed out of the will, being thrown out of their homes, but over time, laws were passed to prevent that from ever happening again. I'm sure Harvey had to put his suit and tie back on, dust off his briefcase, and go to bat for some of his friends in that situation.

Same. Definitely not the story I expected. And being a teenager in the 80s I appreciate the story. I didn't know anyone with AIDS so it's good to hear things like this.

I have to say I took my mother to see Cher a few months before she died and we made eye contact and she smiled so sweetly. She's a good person.
I actually took my mom to the politically incorrect show in San Diego during the republican convention and we both met Bill, who was also very sweet.

I am 70 and when young, of course myself too thought what a mess the previous generations made such a mess. However, when you Wake up to realities of the World the construct of This Play...Everyone gets to marinate in maturity. Possibilities exist every new day. Love Club Random🙏.My daughter has for years verbally given me 'shit' for being 20years older and knowing in a harsh blaming way without any understanding of how she excuses herself........It is boring when its on going for ever, ...... " Yesterday I was clever so tried to change the world. Today I am Wise, so I am changing myself"🙏👌
