This is one of those attrition games where its not a game about strategy as much as it is about grinding eachother down and seeing who will break first.

What I like about this is Stat's omission of stargate. I'm probably wrong, but oracle micro comes across as eating up more attention than it's worth in TvP.
I agree. I think Protoss does better with Robo / mass Observer vs Terran, and Stargate play tends to better vs Zerg.
I dont know about high level, but personally at dia 3, i always open with stargate in pvt because: i used to die to 1 base tank rushes, until i have prefected my star gate void rays based defense, . If its a normal game, oracle is perfect for a bit of harrass and scouting, its very hard otherwise to scout a terrans main base. It also prevents those liberators harass abusing some maps when its near impossible to get them with stalkers. Aslo it allows you to chase away medivacs that try to drop. Overall i do love my pvt stargate:)

Rotti liked to play this style low gas high gate count double upgrades and a single sentry for guardian shield. Just blink in snipe medivacs and zealots charge in at the same time.
If Clem played Protoss, he'd play like this.

I don't think so. Not for any reason a "Game of the Year" status. It had a lot of back and forth, but nothing clutch, nothing clever or strategic. It was just a lot of pounding and after 30 minutes of pounding it just gets painful. And pretty much the only reason O lost was because he ran out of money. It was very anticlimactic.

It makes no sense how much Protoss has to do to win verse Terran and Zerg it’s mind blowing losing all those workers and still in the game just ridiculous the way terrans units are OP

I feel like ever since the Colossus damage was nerfed protoss splash is just not good enough anymore. It went from Terran being scared of protoss deathball to protoss being timid doing poke and prod or using prism or dts. Basically it's hard for protoss to efficiently deal with well upgraded bio with any composition.
What do you think Terran was doing in this game that they lost? Sitting around sipping a martini?

It's the kind of game that you might rewatch years from now, so it deserves the best possible quality. A fun swarmy style, I feel like this is how Dark would play if he mained Protoss. 🙂

@@PiGCasts You can still convert it to 4k, will ensure that it gets uploaded in a higher bitrate on youtube.
The higher bitrate is in reality the main benefit of uploading in 4k on RUclips.
If 1080p were allowed the same bitrate as 4k, you likely wouldn't notice much of a difference between the two.

Yea this isn't a best game of the year... but it's still cool, like really enjoyable, so it's nothing to shake a stick at either. It Reminds me of how "popular catchy songs" differ from "great music"... this would fit very very well in a 2023 best-of SC2 games... but yea, it lacks the sophistication or significance of that 2016 Dark and Byun game. Using this logic you could make a worsts-of 2023 playlist, and I guess include significance + zero excitement... only thing that comes to mind is Serral's overly aggressive GG-ing play against Ragnarok at Katowice (a risky, and ultimately losing gambit... but he'd be famous if his insane strategy had actually worked!)... anyway, these favorite games should have a place, and they're easier to show to non-die-hard fans, so playlists of them would make for good SC2 television in the background at parties with gamers and whatnot...
Yea dude, just standardize a change from "the game of the year" to creators toning it down and perhaps using stuff like "one of the best games of... (whatever when)" or "one of my favorite games of... (whenever why)"....
Honestly I like the format in this vid where you rated it... it'd be so cool to see you produce something like a Billboards list of top 100 hit songs, but for SC2 games.... either historic or just start with current... (It'll be funny when you review Lowko's playlist), but also interesting to hear analyize what's exciting and/or why it doesn't have any significant showmanship... like why a match should or shouldn't be considered for a SC2 hall of fame... I dunno.... I mean, if you've got nothing better to cast that day it could be an interest project to persue. *Shrugs*

The only time you can point out a game of the year is when the year has come to an end; hence, “Game of the year” only then can you rank the games against each other for the title.
Game of the year? This game was awful. It was like both players forgot how to play, but then said who cares just let's suicide to see what works.
