- Q&A with Vicky Krieps of PHANTOM THREAD. Moderated by Claudia Puig.
Set in the glamour of 1950's post-war London, renowned dressmaker Reynolds Woodcock (Daniel Day-Lewis) and his sister Cyril (Lesley Manville) are at the center of British fashion, dressing royalty, movie stars, heiresses, socialites, debutants and dames with the distinct style of The House of Woodcock. Women come and go through Woodcock's life, providing the confirmed bachelor with inspiration and companionship, until he comes across a young, strong-willed woman, Alma (Vicky Krieps), who soon becomes a fixture in his life as his muse and lover. Once controlled and planned, he finds his carefully tailored life disrupted by love. With his latest film, Paul Thomas Anderson paints an illuminating portrait both of an artist on a creative journey, and the women who keep his world running. "Phantom Thread" is Paul Thomas Anderson's eighth movie, and his second collaboration with Daniel Day-Lewis. Развлечения
How wonderful is Vicky Krieps? We sometimes forget that such people exist...
She is so authentic in every way and in every moment. I don't know her work but am so anxious to see this performance now. What a treasure she is and what a wonderful career awaits her.
Yes, she's very authentic and unaffected. She makes acting look almost effortless cuz she's so natural and convincing as her characters. Watch 'Bergman Island'.
such a beautiful voice...
So much unlike hollywood interview, this. She is adorable. I hope her career kicks off since Phantom Thread. And hope she stays so adorable though.
Naturally beautiful. Softly stunning.
What a charming woman.
Such a Great Interview! Vicky Krieps is a wonderful Actor based on this project. She was able to move into this rarefied level of cinema with such ease. I look forward to seeing what she will do in the future.
Such a charming, delightful interviewee; really enjoyed this.
she is so charming and cute
She was so amazing in Phantom Thread
she seems so lovely
She kinda physically reminds me of a young Meryl Streep, especially her profile, like she could be her daughter.
I suppose she didn't need to know this to play the role (obviously not), but it is deeply interesting to me that Alma means "nourishing" in Latin, "soul" in Italian. It is also the name of Mahler's mistress, muse and later wife. She outlived an irritable, supremely superstitious artist.
this is meditative
she's so funny
Wow
shes charming
Her voice is intended for ASMR
Charmin Vicky crepes
Wonderful conversation. But neither new Alma meant soul? haha
She's not a method actor. Method acting is very American.
You know Daniel Day Lewis is british right?
Irish?
Opposite of selfish ,😹😹
