I listened to this on my way to work … I concentrated on the engine sound and just how smooth the throttle was. I couldn’t watch because I was driving .. but I didn’t need to …. It sounded awesome Fred!!!

Watch it when you get a chance, specially the way up with the three of us lined up. We had a lot of fun ! Take care bud 🤘🤛

@@Renaissance_cycles I did watch it!!! I gotta admit I hate being a beginner because I would love to have the skill to ride like that

@@motoringwithmouseball1219 get the online course ChampU by Yamaha Riding Champ School; do it a couple times and go out to practice what you have learned; start slow; watch Greg’s videos on riding, it is very much aligned with YCRS; if you do all these things which are online and very affordable if not free you will be riding well & safer!

Cool! What are those grooves in the middle of the road that accompany the double yellow lines?
Monster burp at the end 😂😂😂

    • @Renaissance_cycles
      @Renaissance_cycles  Год назад

That mountain climbs up 6k feet so in the winter they get snow/sleet/freezing rain and those grooves help drivers gauge their lane and also helps with some traction if you happen to slide towards the opposite lane. They’re pretty gnarly when you go over them.
The burp man 😂, the elevation change was definitely shaking up my breakfast plus I only heard it afterwards 🫣😆

Good thing you have drill instructor Greg leading... 🤭
Where would you be without him, right?
Your line selection is way better than his though 🤗🏆

I’ve learned the fundamentals through Greg, took me out for a 1 on 1 a bunch of times and set me on the path to do ChampU and now just done Champ School so I’m very grateful for all he has done for me and a lot of other friends here locally, he cares a lot. I know online we can never get the human side of a person, and we ended up projecting a lot of our own ideas onto them but if you knew him personally you would like and understand. Either way maybe one day you can fly out to the US and we will take you for a ride how does that sound ? Maybe we can learn from each other on what to do and what not to do!

@@Renaissance_cycles Well maybe you could teach him some basic things like respect and cordiality. Thanks for your cordial reply.
As a matter of fact, I have ridden Highway 101, Angeles Forest Hwy and a few other roads on a motorcycle over in CA. Fortune however, has provided me with a job that may just send me there again within the foreseeable future. It would be a blast to show you guys how it should be done.. 😎🤗😜

@@Renaissance_cycles Of course we can't tell anything about anyone through the internet, but I don't like anyone to assume that I am supposedly a 'liar' or a 'beginner' or being told that I am 'obviously a whitebelt' (because I didn't take a gazillion high level courses) when I tell someone that I have been riding for 35 years.

I just watch his latest, but dude ... 😳... his line selection is truely appaling. Turning in way too early, can't see nothing in blind righthanders.... yikes. How come you are so much better at it ?

Just another nice road that I won't ride anymore because of the moto speeders. Not a hater, just race on a track, not local mountain roads.

Hey there ! You can see by all our videos that we are not competing with one another on public roads, we never pass each other either. We passed a bunch of cyclists on the way up and some even came to talk to us when we were taking a break up top. We all go to the track and there we push harder, this is well within our abilities to stop in time. Also we are all adults businesspeople so number one thing for us is coming back home safe, knowing that we didn’t get hurt nor hurt anybody else!
I sincerely hope you don’t stop riding that road because of motorcycles, get in there and have your fun! Let’s work together!
Thanks for commenting and take care !
