Several of the stores in my area have shortened the hours of the pharmacies. My store has stopped opening the pharmacy on Sunday.
When I heard about this, I thought of you immediately. Here in New York we still have several of our Rite aids, but you are correct. They are the ones with the busy pharmacies. The stock is still extremely low and I felt like I lost a friend when half of the stores closed, have a wonderful day and thank you

I am very worried about my Walgreens. I live in a rural town and it's the only pharmacy style store we have left. The actual pharmacy is hardly ever open because they can't keep a pharmacist.
My Walgreens pharmacy is closed early all the time because they are short on pharmacist. They totally have the business!

We just had a news article released about ours closing next month in Dublin, VA.
One thing I noticed before it was announced was that everything on the app was “not sold at this store” 😢😢😢
It was truly the end of an era when my favorite Riteaids closed (also used to work there for a cpl years) so it truly hit home when they closed 😔💔😢
I have 7 Walgreens stores within a 5.5 miles radius.

They sent me a letter telling me they transferred my prescriptions to another store and the closing date
Use up rewards consisently, dont amass large rewards on accounts. First telltale sign is not restocking. Shipments slow down to the store. Lil signs. Article online said were losing a lot of stores on east coast. Kudos build build build stockpile. ❤

I loved couponing at ride aid. I miss it a lot. Their deals were really good too. But I moved over to cvs because their deals and reward system is a lot like ride aid. I do Walgreens when it’s really good deals because my OOP is always higher there for the same stuff that I can get at cvs for a better deal. DG I really only do the clearance event and maybe sometimes on Saturday. But cvs I rarely have a OOP for 100+ transactions more then $10. Rolling extta bucks is the best

We've lost 2 Walgreen's in the last year. Both were formerly rite aid. Both were union stores. I've talked with the people at my main store and they said if more stores close, they'll most likely be one of them and they cited that info. Not sure if that holds some truth, but i found it interesting. They do a good amount of business and I've rarely been back to the pharmacy where there weren't 2 or 3 others.
Would have loved to go to Rite Ade but unfortunately there were none in Florida
They're closing quite a few near me due to crime in the area.
Five stores here in Rochester. NY closing their doors by mid November. One is a regular store I shop at so this news isn't good news.. Fortunately there are several more stores I'll still be able to keep shopping at, I just hope more aren't on the chopping block for later down the road. I miss the Rite Aid that was close to me. It's like you said we find a way to make it work but it's still disheartening to read about the stores in my area closing.

@BrendaDamron-ro5oy I hope that's going to still work for you. As couponers we are always needing to look at the numbers. It's frustrating when the app for stores never gives with what's actually on store shelves. Using gas to travel all the way there thinking there will be stock and then getting there to not see find product could be a bummer.
I heard the one on W Main and one over by Kings Highway is closing but I can’t remember the other ones.

Wow so sad and Florida’s houses are mostly for sale great economy I wonder why!
Because they have terrible rules on how to use the rebates , the customer service is horrible and they don’t accept a lot of insurances for pharmacy. They are also always out of alot of medications or have back order. CVS is the goat.

this is what happens when you don't have strong leadership in the white house. it's not just Walgreens, there are alot of layoffs happening in other industries as well.
Take your political nonsense elsewhere. This is what happens when you overbuild and have too much competition.
