@tremkoalaska is not great, is it? The problem is if you lose video, then the RC control is just about to go as well. Definitely upgrade to ELRS. There's a bit of a learning curve, but there's loads of videos around including mine, to help you on the way. Have fun.
Thanks for another terrific review, Whirly Bloke. This is timely information for me. I'm having trouble with the rx/tx communication on my new 5" build. I'm a bit perplexed at the moment. I put an RP4TD in the 5" and I'm getting RSSI dbm warnings. It's particularly odd because this receiver was working fine in the 3.5"...🤔 I've updated the ELRS firmware on both my Pocket Radio and the receiver, and I re-routed and insulated the receiver wires and GPS wires. The problem persists on two different receivers... I'm at a bit of a loss. I might buy one of these new crossband, Gemini receivers and a Nomad module. I can't help thinking that my problem is a software/configuration issue though. I even re-flashed my FC with the most recent BF... quite frustrating. Anyway, thanks for consistently producing content that I find interesting, informative, and entertaining. I hope you have a wonderful 2025. Happy flying, amigo 🫡 🍻
Have a new sub and thanks for a very useful video. I'm just researching coming back into the hobby after a few years away from fixed wing only flying DJI stuff. I want to play with autonomous soaring with Arduplane, so this new radio and the Gemini-x receivers look good to me so far.
So..will we be able to flash 868mHz to them in the U.K.? Or....does the Nomad and GX12 have to be flashed with 915mHz to bind? 915,s ilegal hin the UK,no?,
I’ve lost half a dozen drones using DJI controller and original air unit. I’m now ready to upgrade and this video helps make a good decision

@Sonic_Ox and thanks for taking the time to give your feedback. Hopefully, you'll get sorted with some new gear.
@WhirlyBloke 🤠👍

@esuohdica lots to learn, but that's the fun of it. Thanks for watching.

Wow they all got extra uart currently non functional tho, but let elrs dev team put their innovations in there! Its going to be epic!
@KSPRAVIATIONS-lh3pk Radiomaster work very well with the ELRS devs
@WhirlyBloke no doubt on that!
