Thanks for the great review. For me, the Bent Chetler is the perfect "one quiver" ski. You can have fun everywhere, from park to pow and even light touring. However, I do think that the Bent Chetler is actually a bit better Off-Piste than you mentioned. Maybe not for the deepest of the deep days but 80% you will have more fun with the 100 compared to the 120.
Thanks my dude! Just picked up a set of the 21' Bent Chetlers in 172cm and this video was exactly what I was looking for. Have a good time shredding everyone.

@@thibaultjanssens3709 180 will be trickier for tight trees and bumps, but you lose flotation with 172. There's no one right answer. The kinds of terrain you want to ski should dictate the ski length.

@@looseaxles Bought a set of the new QST 106 in 189 LOL. review on the Bent Chetler 120?
I would absolutely love a ski/gear setup for the 2021 season!
hey i want to get a new pair of skis with a shift binding, and right now im deciding between the bent chatler 100 or 120. I want to use the ski as an powder/ touring ski wiht main focus on the skiing not the hike up. Whats your opinion on that? Or would you go with somthing compleet different?
I would definitley go for the 100s ,because 120s would be shitty if it is whorse snow coditions. But I am not that experienced so do not take my opinion that serious.
Hi, I am 178 cm and weigh about 72 kg. I ski since I was 5 and I am now 23, so I have some experience on the mountain. I think I am more like an all mountain guy who likes to go carving but still be playful off pistes on small jumps and bumps. What length would fit mze best 172 or 180. Thanks for the video review.
Wouldn't 100mm underfoot be too wide if you prefer carving? My understanding is that 90mm +/-5 is your sweet spot
The ski I have at the moment is 97 under foot. And it is not only for carving, I like to be playful on my skies, it is like he said an to do anything ski for the mountain, more an all mountain ski
I am just wondering what length would fit me best.
@@jp4431 that's not a really useful answer...
@@thibaultjanssens3709 180 will be trickier for tight trees and bumps, but you lose flotation with 172. There's no one right answer. The kinds of terrain you want to ski should dictate the ski length.
Would go with 180
I just want to get these for the cool drawing on it
Hi,
I'm 6'1 and 200 lbs, intermediate-advanced. Would you say the 180 is too short? I have the 120 in 184 so I'm wondering if the 180 is too short and I should get the 188? Thanks!
What did you end up doing?
@@looseaxles Bought a set of the new QST 106 in 189 LOL. Overall I tend to prefer a ski that is on the "shorter" end than my stature would point me towards, but skis like the Bent Chetlers and QST have so much tip and tail rocker they both end up being more maneuverable than the longer length would suggest.
If you tend to play it safe or aren't super agile for trees or moguls, and don't like to charge super hard, go with a shorter length.
@@bretts7037 I‘m also 6’1 and bought myself the 180 because I like my skies a little more maneuverable, too. Currently not sure where to mount the bindings tho. I wanna get into jumps and tricks but at the same time still have decent allmountain ski so i’m thinking between +4 to +5 from rec. Any experience with that?
What hooks/hardware were used to make that ski rack?
I have mine at the recommend point, can I still change to +4 for better all mountain performance as you suggested?
Yes! You can change the mounting point! just maje sure you seal the holes or else it will get humidity inside
@@Andriui thanks mate
hey, could you test out a pair of Rossignol soul 7´s?
The Soul 7s got discontinued last year. Rossignol’s new line is the Black Ops line.
