Just replaced the mirror on my SX4. I had a hard time finding directions till I came across your video. Your directions made this a cinch! I used my oven (200 degrees F) to preheat the mirror and plastic before trying to swap the heater mat. The mirror and heated mat came off really easily once they were warmed up. The old mirror shattered pretty badly as I took the heater mat off, but the new one's in great shape. Thank you for the directions!
Cheers Dave. I watched a documentary on the Titanic the other night. It focused on the land reclamation, the H&W yards and dry dock were built on...Super interesting. How the Micsig going?
@@TheGibby3340 ahh samson and goliath. Landmarks of belfast. Ive been messing about with the micsig and just getting to grips with it. Very different to pico. Will do a vid soon. Cheers dave
@@TheGibby3340 It has been perfect! 50's at night, mid to high 70's daytime. Found out my 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 Cummins diesel really doesn't have heat! Wife was scraping ice off the INSIDE passenger door window, so I could use the mirror. Bowling Green Kentucky was 15 degrees in the morning (500 miles south) Crazy! Hope you didn't get too much of the arctic blast.
TheGibby3340 All good. I just finished replacing the cracked mirror on my SX4, thanks to you. Tricky getting the heater in just the right position so the electrical tabs line up with the holes in the housing. I used the 200F oven trick from one of the comments and it came apart perfectly. Heated the new mirror with the heat pad on it and it stuck on like OEM. All the best to you!
I just needed to pop the mirror in place. Watching your video really helped. Much thanks!
Thx for watching 👍
