Wow, I never saw this one! Very great to see this lady in her prime! One of the best vocalists of my lifetime for sure, RIP Donna ❤
I had tears in my eyes watching this! She was incredible!!✌️
Real live music with people who have an actual talent. RIP disco queen Donna Summer.
💙🤍🙏🏽
She had such a great voice..she passed way to soon😞 thank you Bert…❤
Donna was amazing! I can’t think of any one of her songs that wasn’t fantastic! 🎶🎶🎶🎶
Neither can I! She was outstanding!
Dude can sing.
He's the best... aroun-n-nd♫ (no really, he's the one that sings that)
The third part of MacArthur Park Suite by the amazing Donna Summer and Joe "Bean" Esposito (of Brooklyn Dreams), better known for You're The Best from Karate Kid! Excellent! First time I've heard it alone.
BTW The Casablanca Records Story 4-disc set is amazing! Contains the whole 17-minute suite and three or four dozen other (some LONG) classics of the era!
I love that song from Karate Kid, never knew who sang it. Thanks ❤
He also did "Lady Lady Lady", a great tune of Moroder for the movie "Flash Dance"
I also like the song he sang with Brenda Russell Piano in the dark, in the late 80's.
Remember, he had a worldwide hit from Flashdance called lady lady lady. Unfortunately it was not released as a hard copy in the US because of the legal problems with millennium records a subsidy of Casablanca it was mess. But it did make it into the top 40 in the US and in the clubs it was played, but in the rest of the world it did great.
RIP DONNA SUMMERS, even though you are no longer on the stage, your music lives on and still in our hearts
The Queen of Disco! 👑
I remember this song. I haven't heard this in a long time. Brings back some good memories! 💜
Happy Labor Day 🥳 Thank you for sharing! 💖
That was fantastic! 😍 Have a great day!✌️💜
@@StephanieJeanne Thank you so much! 👍🏻💜😊
What a great live version. Their harmonies are excellent. Thank you for the music, Donna Summer.
A voice out of this world!!!breath taking Donna!!!
@feliperojasanchez. Ciao from Corleone Sicilia. Brooklyn dreams. Dyker Heights, Brooklyn. Home sweet Home. God Bless. And God Bless Brooklyn.
The lead singer of Brooklyn Dreams, Joe Esposito, later sang back up for Brenda Russell’s hit Pianos In a the Dark.
Interesting I never knew who sang this with her for all these years.
😮
Thanks for sharing that amazing fact.
I actually knew of him from that first!!
Such a beautiful woman and such a beautiful voice. Rest In Peace.
Donna Summer was an angel sent here from heaven
The queen of disco!! She was the best. RIP Donna.
Excellent! Love this song🎉 What a powerful vocalist she was…
July 9th 2024
Such a wonderful performance.
Sums up how I feel about the 70's😊
One of my favs by Donna.
I was glued to the tv the night this aired! Sometime around this time I saw her live on the "Live and More" tour.
Wow, lucky you! That must have been a night to remember.
Oh my gosh!!! I love that song, and Donna was the Queen!! What an electrifying performance!! Brooklyn Dreams played excellent, and that lead singer was amazing! This took me back for sure!💃💜 Thanks so much, Midnight Special!!
I always enjoy reading your comments. Thank you for always sharing your kind thoughts! 😊 Happy Labor Day! 🥳
@@that70sgirl90 Aww, thanks! I like your comments, too. 😉💜
@@StephanieJeanne 😊
Donna Summer ❤ she made the stage her own, absolutely
Always loved this song as a kid but I never knew who was the male vocalist, so I'm glad this popped up. A lot of Donna Summers early performances aren't this clear and the song is even better live ❤
I love it!!! Me in 2023 😍🥰👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank You ❤️
Another outstanding upload; THANK YOU 😇
I love it. What a great performer. She s so missed.
Wow! I always loved this duet.
!!!!LOVE !!!! from Aotearoa New Zealand!!!!
Amazing. Classic. The vocals are flawless….and LIVE!!! Great track!!!! She walks out…and nails it.
Great ❤
Another example of why the Midnight Special was awesome. This type of music 🎶 🎵 is freaking awesome. I lived to watch this on the weekend. I couldn't wait to see who they had on.
Doin the hustle in Ft. Lauderdale in college to this fabulous song, there was no other dance song , wiffs of Halston z14 from everywhere ,
Oh my God!! I love her sooo much !
Of all her great songs, this is my favorite. And as a New Englander, I'm so proud she was from Boston.
What a beautiful woman and voice!
It wasn't that long ago that I learned there were _two_ versions of the original - the one led by Summer most everyone knows, and a "flipped" version led by Esposito (shadowed by Summer) on a Brooklyn Dreams album. I love how this version mixes the two!
O the great memories of this era.
Chemistry!!!
Donna...una voz soberbia! Cantaba como le daba la gana! Indiscutible Reina del Disco Music!❤❤❤
Classic
Fantastic! 🙏🙏🙏
Nice to see that Sal got some camera time, setting the bass line for all of Disco.
Excellent❤️👏🏻👏🏻
Her voice hit ranges so effortlessly. I don't remember him at all.
Cuanta química! Divinos los dos!!!
autentic son 70 disco music 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤
❤❤❤
Please love her performance of “A Man Like You” from the Midnight Special :)
Donald has an excellent voice.
Never heard of Brooklyn Dreams before, but Donna sure could belt it out!
Me sigue encantando esta canción, tantos recuerdos.❤
Sounds great live. The BD's could really sing. And Bruce rocking leather pants and a sequin scarf. Who knew!
Never seen this clip before 😮 This is why I love RUclips 🎉🎉 At times he sounds a little like Michael McDonald😅
A white biker lookin guy sure doesn’t fit the image I had hearing this tune as a kid… heckuva voice he’s got. And of course Donna is awesome.
Agreed. He looks so uncomfortably awkward there, but what a great voice!
😂 That was something, all right, but he did great singing with her!! Wow!
🎼He's Joe "Bean" Esposito

I also like the song he sang with Brenda Russell, Piano in the dark, in the late 80's.

❤️🩹. Thank you, Ariel,
for reminding me about this Grammy-nominated stunner of a song! ruclips.net/video/H7u5GtSIC5k/видео.htmlsi=Ecq6jVA7aXKQ3StW
素晴らしいですね(^_-)-☆
Gary Wright passed away. So upload his performances please
This is so different than the recorded version with women back up singers.
But both sound great.
Joe Esposito and the Brooklyn dreams sang on the original recorded version.
I think guy is Joe Esposito who died, amd her husband Bruce Sudano was a part of Brooklyn Dreams. RIP
Donna did perreo when she turn around the crowd
Funny they're calling Joe Esposito, the guy singing with her, a biker guy. These guys are from Brooklyn and Italian, and that how they dressed in the mid 70's, early 80's. Other singers from that era from that area or Jersey dress and look the same such as Franke Previte of Franke and the Knockouts. They all had the same "look". Look at the way John Travolta and the guys in Saturday night Fever dressed!
Where is the Autotune? 😂😂😂 Long Live The Queen of Disco!
If someone tried to dress up and take on the persona of a male balls to the wall 200% dedication to the 70s and everything that the 70s is about performer you probably wouldn’t even come close to this dude!!!😂 But 3:05 man…FUCK YES!!!!!!!
Can someone please react to this and post it? Trying to find
There's two versions of this song. The Donna Summer version with her singing the chorus and the Brooklyn Dreams version with Esposito doing the lead vocals. Donna Summer's version worked MUCH better.
The guy singing with her was her husband Bruce Sudano...I was so...
Her husband is Bruce Sudano who’s playing the guitar and has a sequin scarf on singing back up. The man she’s singing with is Joe Esposito he’s done a lot of other stuff for the karate kid Hollywood nights, Flashdance, lady lady lady.
AMAZING AS ALWAYS!👍
OMG Will Ferrell.
😆 I had that same thought. Lol.
He looks like the singer of the prom band for Hollywood Knights. Different outfit though.
He is that guy. That movie was produced by Casablanca Record & FilmWorks.
@@EliteWorksATeBay thank you for that! Odd that he looks older in that movie.
@@scottwhitt9379 the movie was basically filmed in 79, but I guess living with Donna prematurely aged him. Lol.
@@EliteWorksATeBay he’s not married to Donna his name is Joe Bean Esposito Donna is married to the guy singing back up with the sequin scarf and the guitar. His name is Bruce Sudano
She married the wrong Brooklyn Dreamer if you were to ask me anything about it.
He married to my cousin Lynda they’re very happy and they were great friends with Donna and Bruce
That's her husband singing with her.
No, that's Joe Esposito. Her husband was the guy on the very left playing guitar with the purple shirt and purple sequin scarf, Bruce Sudano. He is gorgeous!
The butt wiggling interlude/ bridge was bizarre, wasn't it?
Best part of the performance 😊
