Fully agree! Phobos feel so perfectly balanced, but at the same time so versatile and can be played in many different styles and strategies. Great pick. Mine too.
I was right. For a moment there my resolve wavered as you described out-activating and I thought of Nemesis Claw, but it turns out that my favorite team is the same as yours. Nifty.
I still like the idea of playing kill team with limited specialists. Eg; you can only take 3 or 4 specialists and the rest have to be the default warriors. Makes an interesting game.
Without knowing anything, I'm gonna guess vet guard because that's my favorite team. They definitely don't have "a bit of everything" though, they're just a shooting horde 😅 Oh wait second guess, Inquisitorial Agents? They do have a bit of everything, tons of options, definitely a team that can keep you interested forever with their complexity and list possibilities
100% agree, excellent team. What I love about them, it's really hard to be bored with them. Every game can be completely different with so many interesting options in roster.
Always loved the way phobos worked, always also felt like i wanted it to have abit more teeth or survivability. But all in all since the revision of the vanguard ploy, this team has been feeling great to play.
If proxies are on the table, I think taking 15/20 humanish/guard models with various loadouts and being able to run vet guard/kaskarin/euclidian startstiders/navy lists with one set of models. Perhaps a similar thing with eldar/dark eldar where you can run coarsiars/khaine/hand of the archon with the same models.
You can do both. Just use deathguard models, they have plenty of different loadouts. And yhen you can use them either as DG or nurgle legionaries. Both are decent. I still like DG because they just refuse to die. But legionaries have that much more damage (especially in melee), while still being pretty bulky.
My guess was Hierotek - because you used them in the video for your tournament box (which you’re still using, apparently), you mained them for a long time, and they just got a nerf, which fits your hipster sensibilities. If I had to lock myself to just one team in a similar fashion, it would be my Legionaries.
Tempestus Scions; they can actually table Custodes, not every time (because dice are dice), but their abilities (bonus APL's, ploys, etc.) , 10-man size, and their access to 4 special weapons (the rest of the squad using what are basically bolters).
@@Lirretobb Honestly, BoK would be a fair pick too! I really feel like most people haven't figured out their "tech" yet, and that would for sure be a fun challenge.
My guess is Brood Brothers. I feel it is by far the most versatile team they've made. Between the leaders, assets, or regular troopers they have so many options to keep the team fresh. Also a great team for being competitive or casual depending on what extras you take
I genuinely don't know what I'd go with. I've been using Kinband for teaching games lately so I have a lot of reps with them, but if I'm going to play some games against experienced players I think I'd want more. With the nerf I might even go to Void Dancers myself.
I’m new but I’ve got hierotek and hearthkyn. I like both but most excited for hearthkyn because I feel like I can logically make some substitutions where as hierotek is more of a set roster tho I did buy the chronomancer so I can swap my leader
Phobos was my first team i played and love using them. I even like taking a full reiver team. I dont really play them now as my opponents refuse to face them. But thats because they try to out shoot me and forget about the objectives. Still my favourite team even though i cant play them now.
Hirotek really suck now. last game got the hole team wiped in 1 turn aganst interessors and now they only come back with 3-5 wounds and i didnt win initiative so next turn with interessors double shooting they all got wiped again. lost all of them except deathmark for 3 interessors dead.
Yeah it's pretty messed up considering the box is such a blatant scam. You need an extra box of immortals/deathmarks and at least one other cryptek to actually have all of your legal options Pretty far cry from the "full army in a box" they advertise it as
I'm gonna guess it's Heirotek Circle. Mostly to post a comment for the algorithm but also because you are so completely cynical about this game that that is the only one I remember you sounding excited to be playing. I like you being cynical, to be clear, lol

I miss the conservatory already 😢
@@HeyU808 It's not gone! This was filmed 2/3 weeks ago. The conservatory videos are newer :)
I was thinking Necrons, but your explanation for why you picked the team you did makes a lot of sense

Been a while since i had a double or triple hello. Glad to see your doing well. 😊
Really want to play deathguard. I am guessing it's just better to go legionaries and choose nurgle.
I think that's the consensus, yeah
@@bonnie_scott thank you

9:17 tyranid warriors should be APL 3
Straight up
Ooooh! Six APL3 ‘Nids vs six Space Marines. That would make a decent stand alone game box with some interesting, dare I say, jungle type terrain.
@@earnestwanderer2471praying to the Emperor we get some jungle sets in the next edition.

What does the Andy have in its boxes? Roll the dice on that one. I’m guessing Breachers, or Blooded.
Special-Op team in a special-op team themed game... could be onto something🤔
Chin-up, glass 💪
Little late to the comments, but I agree with your 3 APL comment. When playing with 3 APL, It just feels better and you are actually doing things.
I guessed Wyrmblade - 2 + 3APL models, killy and good at objectives.
...and I thought you were gonna say Mandrakes lol
What's in the booooox?!
A carrot
Pain.
Good luck my friend your channel is amazing
Phobos far and away my favorite team too. Good luck with the move.
Okey now I know what team and can go watch again from start :D My favorite team too btw :) Triple hello to you and enjoy your new place :)

I’m surprised of your choice. I’m a Raven Guard guy so yay.

I am also offended that gw didn't give us a proper team!
@GlassHalfDead how did they fail to give us a tyranid genestealers vs space marines box on the gallowdark? It was a perfect Space Hulk cameo...
Clearly: chaos beastmen
In my heart: yeagirs or salvagers
Probably: an imperium team

well cant argue with that choice. i like the flexability they have and theyre always fun even when you lose

you know what is my first killt team i bought and painted, and wanna try out? phobos!
